‘I Got Carried Away’: Elon Musk Opens Up About His Detour Into Politics

For many people who go to D.C., a primary motivation involves getting wealthy. But as the world’s richest man, Elon Musk clearly had a different reason for joining forces with the Trump administration.

But now that DOGE has been disbanded and Musk is back at work revolutionizing multiple industries, he’s taking stock of his partisan diversion and what he believes it accomplished.

USA Today added these details:

Musk maintained that the organizations that had their funding cut were operating fraudulently, before reiterating that “zero people died because of DOGE.”

Although Musk donated more than $250 million to Trump’s reelection campaign and was often seen at the president’s side after he retook the Oval Office, the two had a brief but contentious falling out following Musk’s departure from government.
