Texas AG Ken Paxton is bringing the hammer of the law down on the runaway Democrat fugitives who fled the state to block a vote on redistricting.
Not only that, but he’s also going after Beto O’Rourke’s radical organization, Powered by People, for funding these rogue Dems.
Paxton just announced on X:

Here’s the full text of that press release :
Attorney General Ken Paxton launched an investigation into Beto O’Rourke’s radical organization, Powered by People, for unlawful activity, including potentially operating an illegal financial influence scheme to bribe runaway Democrats who fled Texas to break quorum.
“Any Democrat coward breaking the law by taking a Beto Bribe will be held accountable,” said Attorney General Paxton. “Texas cannot be bought. I look forward to thoroughly reviewing all of the documents and communications obtained throughout this investigation. These jet-setting runaways have already lost public trust by abandoning our state, and Texans deserve to know if they received illegal bribes to do it.”
According to public reports, Powered by People has been one of the top groups bankrolling the Texas House Democrat members who abandoned Texans and vacated their offices. By providing these liberal lawmakers with the funds to flee the state, Powered by People may have violated bribery laws. Powered by People and the runaway Democrats may have also violated other Texas laws, including, but not limited to, those governing campaign or officeholder contributions and expenditures, coercion of a public servant, and abuse of office.
As part of the investigation, Attorney General Paxton has issued a Request to Examine, which demands documents and communications from the group regarding potentially unlawful activity, including its involvement in the Democrats’ scheme to break quorum.
Attorney General Paxton has announced that he will take aggressive legal action against runaway Democrats who do not present themselves before the House by the Speaker’s deadline of Friday.
AG Paxton also spoke to Newsmax about the investigation:
BREAKING NEWS: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on "The Chris Salcedo Show" that there will be an investigation into Beto O'Rourke's PAC.

Beto O’Rourke’s Powered by People PAC solicited donations in order to pay for the runaway Democrats’ travel expenses, as well as the $500 per day fines they are incurring for leaving the state to break quorum.
Interestingly, but not surprisingly, the PAC is backed by George Soros.

FOLLOW THE MONEY
George Soros and Beto O’Rourke are linked to funding the Texas Democrats who left the state to block a GOP vote on a new congressional map.
Powered by People (PBP), established by O’Rourke, has been instrumental in supporting the approximately 50 Democrats who traveled to New York and Illinois, covering costs like airfare, lodging, and the $500 daily fines they face for missing legislative sessions, according to the Texas Tribune.
Additionally, the Soros-supported Texas Majority PAC has been collaborating with national fundraising groups to raise more funds for this last-minute strategy to delay the vote. PBP is also actively seeking donations through its website.
O’Rourke has promised to “support” these Democrat fugitives for as long as it takes to prevent the new congressional map from passing.
ABC News shared more details:
Powered by People, a voter registration and mobilization group, has been donating to the Texas House Democratic Caucus — not members directly, or for any line-item expense — to help cover upfront costs for the group, such as lodging and transportation, an O’Rourke spokesperson told ABC News.
ADVERTISEMENTO’Rourke has been in regular touch with House Democrats since President Donald Trump suggested that Texas Republicans shift five congressional districts in their favor. Powered by People has been putting funds aside since Trump’s directive, and O’Rourke assured the caucus in the weeks leading up to the potential vote, if they wished to leave the state, they would have his support, both in rhetoric and cash.
“We will have the backs of these heroic state lawmakers for as long as it takes to stop Trump’s power grab,” O’Rourke said in a statement to ABC News.
The PAC must be getting a lot of donors because House Dems reportedly fled the state via a $40 million private plane that cost $15,000 an hour.
Texas Democrat lawmakers boarded private planes Sunday, reportedly paid for by donors.
Add bribery to the list of charges against the Dems.

Jesse Waters called them out on this:
Jesse Watters: "Democrats in Texas fled their state…because they claim Trump's gonna steal the midterms. They had a private jet pick them up in Austin. The charter's an E170 with leather seating that runs about $15,000/hour. Who paid for it? We don't know." pic.twitter.com/FdEqKhKhhE

Who exactly is paying for all this?
I want names.
Investigate the donors and charge the Democrats who accepted all this money for bribery — which, by the way, is a felony in the state of Texas.
They all need to be held accountable.
