Senator Chuck Schumer had to be taken to the hospital because it was too hot outside for him.
He’s fine now.
But you know what they say…

Leader Schumer was at the Senate gym this morning and got lightheaded. Out of an abundance of caution, he went to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and is now back at work in the Capitol. He wants to remind everyone to drink some water and stay out of the heat.
Chuck Schumer works out?
I had no idea.
Good for him, I guess.
Hopefully it had nothing to do with those famous Schumer raw burgers he likes so much…

It appears that it wasn’t too serious, as Schumer is already back to posting on social media his praise for Muslim Socialist NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani:
I have known @ZohranKMamdani since we worked together to provide debt relief for thousands of beleaguered taxi drivers & fought to stop a fracked gas plant in Astoria. He ran an impressive campaign that connected with New Yorkers about affordability, fairness, & opportunity.

Schumer’s hospitalization over dehydration comes amid a heat wave in Washington, D.C.
Axios noted:
Washington, D.C. is currently being battered by a heat wave. The city is under an extreme heat alert on Wednesday, with the heat index expected to be well over 100 degrees.
Keep cool and drink plenty of water, everyone!
