Hunter Biden Spotted In South Africa With No Secret Service Detail

It’s a bird, a plane, oh wait, it’s just Hunter Biden.

Just weeks after his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer, Hunter Biden was seen with his wife and son in South Africa.

However, the Secret Service detail that usually surrounds the former first son was noticeably missing.

Fox News had more details on Hunter Biden’s trip to South Africa:

Hunter Biden was seen out and about with his family in Cape Town, South Africa, Friday amid Republicans’ investigation into an alleged “conspiracy” related to his father’s cognitive decline as president.

The embattled son of the former president toured Cape Town with his wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, and son, Beau Biden Jr., driving a rented Toyota sedan, a big change from the black Chevy Suburbans he was used to traveling in before President Donald Trump yanked his Secret Service detail.

In March, Trump terminated Hunter Biden’s Secret Service detail after former President Joe Biden extended his son’s detail indefinitely. Typically, children of former presidents only enjoy Secret Service protection if they are 16 or younger.

Trump’s move to remove Hunter Biden’s detail came as the former president’s son was once again vacationing in South Africa.

Last time Hunter was in South Africa with a Secret Service detail, President Trump was informed about it and later revoked Hunter’s Secret Service detail, which was costing taxpayers millions.

CBS reported on President Trump revoking Hunter Biden’s Secret Service detail:

President Trump on Monday said he was revoking Secret Service protection for former President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, “effective immediately.” Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, will also lose her Secret Service detail, Mr. Trump said.

“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer. There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!” Mr. Trump wrote, noting that the former president’s son was vacationing in South Africa, where his wife is from. “Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list.”

Secret Service chief of communications Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement the agency was “aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden. The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Secret Service protection for a president’s family typically ends when that leader departs the White House, while former presidents and their spouses receive Secret Service protection for life.

Biden extended protection for his adult children through July via an executive order, according to multiple sources familiar with the protective agreement.
