A few weeks ago, the Department of Homeland Security released a police report in which Tennessee Highway Patrol had accused “Maryland Man” Kilmar Abrego Garcia of being a gang member.
Now, bodycam footage from that traffic stop has been released.
In the just-dropped video, we can see Abrego Garcia getting pulled over by the troopers for speeding.
The police officers discuss with each other their suspicions that Abrego Garcia is involved in human trafficking.

“They put an extra row of seats in there.” “He’s getting paid to haul these people.” $1,400 found.
The officer can be heard asking where Garcia is going… he says he’s transporting them for work.
“Construction,” he says.
Garcia immediately starts mentioning his “boss” and gets the “boss” on the phone.

Footage obtained by Fox News – they report that ICE *was* called in this incident… but ICE didn’t come get him.
So, Kilmar Abrego Garcia was suspected of human trafficking for multiple reasons:
- There were 8 people in the car, with no luggage or IDs.
- Extra seats had been added to the van he was driving.
- Garcia had $1,400 cash in an envelope.
- The National Crime Information Center had him listed as an alleged gang member.
Incredibly shady.
However, despite the officers’ suspicions during the traffic stop, Garcia was ultimately let go with a mere citation for driving with an expired driver’s license.
After the bodycam footage ended, police offers made a call to immigration enforcement officials.
But, federal authorities never showed up. So, they were forced to release with just a citation.
The New York Post commented on the newly-released footage:
The moment Kilmar Abrego Garcia — the accused MS-13 gangbanger booted from the US and into El Salvador’s “hellhole” mega-prison — was suspected of human trafficking during a 2022 traffic stop in Tennessee was revealed in a new bodycam video.
One trooper can be heard saying that the 29-year-old Salvadoran “was hauling these people for money,” according to footage obtained by Fox News Thursday.
“He’s getting paid to haul these people, probably to Maryland, I’d say if I had my guess,” the trooper said.
There were eight people in the vehicle with Abrego Garcia in the driver’s seat — and no luggage as they made the days-long trek from Texas to Maryland.
Abrego Garcia was apparently going too fast, which is why he was stopped, the trooper explained.
When officers put Abrego Garcia’s name into the National Crime Information Center, a warning came up that showed he was suspected of being a gang member, a source told the outlet.
After the law enforcement officer asked the illegal migrant a series of other questions, including if anyone else in the car had a license, he then conferred with other troopers.
“You know what you got here, right?” one trooper asked, adding that he thought Abrego Garcia was human trafficking.
A source told the outlet that in a redacted portion of the video, troopers talked about calling immigration enforcement officials.
While a phone call was made, federal authorities didn’t show up, Fox News reported.
Honestly, it’s absolutely crazy that he wasn’t detained by ICE right then and there.
For some reason, ICE didn’t show up.
Keep in mind that this happened in 2022 — under Biden’s catastrophic immigration policies.
If it happened today, underneath President Trump, there would have been a very different outcome.
