Hunter Biden Finally Set To Testify To Investigators, But There’s A Major Drawback

After much back and forth, Hunter Biden is finally set to testify before Congressional investigators.

His testimony is set to take place at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 28, and GOP representatives say they’re bringing the receipts.

However, there is a major drawback to his slated testimony.

Breaking with normal procedure, Hunter Biden’s testimony will not be taped or otherwise televised.

New York Post reporter Miranda Devine provided some pre-testimony coverage: “Hunter Biden slummed it flying commercial from LAX to Dulles Sunday, instead of availing himself of the Sugar Brother’s private jet, ahead of his testimony on Capitol Hill tomorrow. Presumably, the First Son is staying with daddy at the White House.”

Rep. Jim Jordan recently stated: “According to testimony, the Bidens were selling “The Brand.” “The Brand” was Joe Biden. “The Brand” was put on speakerphone at least 20 times. “The Brand” dropped by a meeting before Hunter Biden and his associates were wired $3 million.

“The Brand” was name-dropped in threatening WhatsApp messages before Hunter Biden and his associates were wired $5 million. “The Brand” attended dinner with Hunter Biden’s business associate Yelena Baturina, who evaded the US sanctions list. “The Brand” conditioned the release of money on the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor.”

The Epoch Times confirmed:

The deposition will take place behind closed doors, despite the younger Biden’s prior insistence that it be conducted publicly.

That detail, among others, was hammered out in negotiations over the past month after House Republicans halted efforts to hold Mr. Biden in contempt of Congress.

Writer Eric Kleefeld shared this statement from Rep. Darrell Issa: “Thanks for covering what might be a big nothing, or an incredible opportunity to get to the bottom of this very complex scheme that the Bidens worked out for a decade.”

CNN explained:

The deposition will not be videotaped, according to multiple sources.

This was a significant concession from Republicans, as interviews with other Biden family business associates and related witnesses have all been filmed.

Transcript release: The two sides also have agreed to the terms of the transcript release as a way to avoid selective leaks, the sources said.

Normally, the committee chair has to get the ranking member of the opposite party on the committee to sign off to release a transcript, or else the full committee decides.
