BREAKING: Nikki Haley Refuses To Drop Out Despite Crushing Defeat In South Carolina

Nikki Haley just lost the South Carolina primary to President Trump.

Less than a minute after polls close, the primary was called for Trump, who absolutely swamped Haley in her home state.

Yet, Nikki Haley is only doubling down…

Speaking after the primary, Haley refused to end her bid for presidency.

Instead of giving a drop-out speech and preserving what (little) dignity she has left, she referred back to a commitment she made a few days ago to campaign at least through Super Tuesday,

“I said earlier this week, that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I would continue to run for president. I’m a woman of my word.”

Watch for yourself here:

Reuters has more details on Haley’s crushing loss to Trump in her home state of South Carolina:

Donald Trump easily defeated Nikki Haley in South Carolina’s Republican contest on Saturday, Edison Research projected, extending his winning streak as he marches toward a third consecutive presidential nomination and a rematch with Democratic President Joe Biden.

The former president had been widely favored to win the Southern state, with one opinion poll after another showing him holding a sizable lead despite his litany of criminal charges and Haley’s status as a native of South Carolina who won two terms as governor.

“I have never seen the Republican party so unified as it is right now,” Trump told supporters in Columbia, the state capital, just minutes after the polls closed at 7 p.m. (0000 GMT). He did not mention Haley once in about 30 minutes of remarks.

The lopsided outcome will bolster calls from Trump’s allies that Haley, Trump’s last remaining challenger, should drop out of the race. Trump has dominated all five contests thus far – in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, the U.S. Virgin Islands and now Haley’s home state – leaving her with virtually no path to the Republican nomination.

Trump was leading 59.7% to 39.7% with about half of the expected vote tallied, according to Edison.

A defiant Haley, who served as U.N. ambassador under Trump, said once again on Saturday that she will campaign through at least “Super Tuesday” on March 5, when Republicans in 15 states and one U.S. territory will cast ballots.

HuffPost commented on Haley’s refusal to drop out:

Nikki Haley once again refused to end her bid for the Republican presidential nomination on Saturday, even after an apparent loss to former President Donald Trump in South Carolina’s primary election.

Haley was elected governor of the Southern state twice, leaving in 2017 to serve as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the Trump administration.

She has since become one of his biggest critics in the GOP.

“I don’t believe Donald Trump can beat Joe Biden,” she said in a speech Saturday after losing her home state’s primary.

Her comments echoed those from a speech she gave just days prior that was cryptically touted as an address on “the state of the presidential race,” leading to some speculation about the state of her campaign.

“Despite being a de facto incumbent, Donald Trump lost 49% of the vote in Iowa. In New Hampshire, Trump lost 46% of the vote. That’s not good. We’re talking about almost half of our voters,” Haley said Tuesday.

“What does it say about an incumbent who’s losing nearly half of his party? It spells disaster in November.”

Haley has repeatedly pledged to stay in, at least through Super Tuesday, despite underperforming in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada.

“I said earlier this week, that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I would continue to run for president,” she said Saturday. “I’m a woman of my word.”

What do you think?

Are you surprised Nimarata is still refusing to come to terms with reality?

Is she nothing more than a plant by the Deep State?

Either way, her face betrays her true feelings about what happened tonight…
