James Comer Says Biden Is “Full Of Hot Air”

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has been trying to get the Bidens to cooperate with his investigation into the family’s shady business dealings.

On Monday, Comer took to X, formerly Twitter, to call out Biden on his vow to be the most “transparent” president.

From Newsmax:

“The White House is withholding over 82,000 pages of Joe Biden’s pseudonym emails, refuses to provide proof that Joe loaned his brother money, and now seeks to block the Bidens and former staff from testifying before Congress,” Comer wrote Monday on X, sharing a video from his Newsmax appearance last week.

“@POTUS’s pledge to be transparent was just hot air.”

In that “Wake Up America” appearance, Comer announced Hunter Biden is expected to testify before House investigators before Dec. 4 under the orders of the subpoena. Though Hunter Biden’s lawyers had expressed an eagerness for Hunter Biden to testify, Comer said he has not gotten a reply on his subpoena.

One of the most recent subpoenas to Kevin Morris last week gives them until Wednesday to respond to Comer’s committee.

“If President Biden has nothing to hide, then he should make his current and former staff available to testify before Congress about his mishandling of classified documents,” Comer wrote in a statement Friday after receiving a letter from the special counsel to the president that told the committee, in its words: “The White House intends to continue obstructing our investigation.”

From CBS News:

Three committee chairmen sent a letter Wednesday requesting a transcribed interview with Kevin Morris, an attorney known for crafting the lucrative licensing deal for the creators of “South Park” and who later won a Tony award as a co-producer of the hit musical “Book of Mormon.” Morris, the author of two novels and a book of short stories, is now devoting significant time to the legal and media strategy for the president’s son.

A source familiar with the financial arrangements confirmed to CBS News last year that he loaned money to Hunter Biden’s to pay off more than $2 million in unpaid legal bills.

“It sure seems that the Bidens get a lot of ‘loans’ that raise many questions,” House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, Republican of Kentucky, told CBS News in a statement. “These ‘loans’ have occurred both during Joe Biden’s presidential campaign and presidency, which raise serious ethical concerns.”
