President Trump Enters Plea On Latest Charges

As the witch hunt continues to escalate, President Trump and his team are standing firm and fighting back.

Earlier today, CNN reported: “A Mar-a-Lago property manager and former President Donald Trump’s personal aide are set to be arraigned Thursday morning in Fort Pierce, Florida, on new charges brought by the special counsel in the case regarding the mishandling of classified documents.”

President Trump and his former aide Walt Nauta were arraigned on a slew of new charges on Thursday, with Mar-A-Lago property manager Carlos De Oliveira facing arraignment at a later date.

Both Nauta and President Trump have pleaded not guilty to the new charges.

We will bring you more updates as they become available to us, for now, here are the latest developments:

Washington Examiner confirmed that Walt Nauta also pleaded not guilty; “Donald Trump’s aide and co-defendant pleaded not guilty on Thursday to additional federal charges alleging he misled investigators who attempted to retrieve classified records from Mar-a-Lago after the former president left office.”

Washington Examiner had more on the story:

The trio of defendants is facing new charges from the July 27 superseding indictment, including allegedly plotting to obstruct justice by attempting to delete surveillance footage at Trump’s estate “to conceal information from the FBI and grand jury,” according to the indictment.

Trump allegedly spoke with Nauta and De Oliveira, including a 24-minute phone call with De Oliveira one day after receiving a subpoena.

Jessica Bruno Richards shared footage of Nauta and co-defendant Carlos De Oliveira leaving the courtroom following Thursday’s arraignment.

The Hill explained: “Federal prosecutors’ superseding indictment against former President Trump has added several new charges and revelations as he now faces a total of 40 criminal counts in the classified documents case.”

ABC News added:

Carlos De Oliveira, the property manager at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate who is facing his first charges in the case, still could not be arraigned Thursday because arrangements for local counsel had not yet been finalized.

That arraignment was rescheduled for Tuesday morning.
