Horrifying Video Shows Car CRUSHED By House Being Transported On Georgia Interstate

A video that has gone viral on X shows a manufactured home crushing a car on an interstate in Georgia.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, a home that was being transported by a tractor trailer overturned on top of a car on Interstate 20 in what was part of a larger pile-up accident.

Multi-vehicle pileups are sadly not as uncommon as anyone would like. If you skimmed past headlines about a 17-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Georgia last week, that would be understandable. At first glance, it sounded like another serious interstate wreck involving several cars and tractor-trailers.

Buried in the early coverage, however, was one detail that made this crash anything but ordinary: one of the trucks was transporting a manufactured home. During the pileup, the oversized load shifted, overturned, and came down on another vehicle.

Footage showing a passenger car crushed beneath the home has since attracted more than 1 million views on X, drawing renewed attention to a crash that initially received mostly local coverage. Many people encountering the video for the first time assumed it had to be fake, while others wondered how an entire house could end up in the middle of an interstate.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, the crash ultimately involved 17 vehicles, including 14 passenger vehicles and three tractor-trailers. Nine people were taken to four hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, making the outcome far less severe than many people initially assumed after seeing the footage.

Despite how it may appear in the viral footage, officials say the manufactured home was not what started the crash. According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, a Nissan Pathfinder lost control and struck a Ford Explorer, triggering a chain reaction involving 17 vehicles, including 14 passenger vehicles and three tractor-trailers.

One of those trucks was transporting the manufactured home. During the pileup, the oversized load shifted, overturned, and came down on another vehicle. The crash shut down eastbound Interstate 20 for more than four hours while emergency crews responded and cleared the wreckage. The Georgia State Patrol initially believed 10 vehicles were involved before later updating that number to 17 as investigators sorted through the complex crash scene.

Investigators have not said what caused the Nissan Pathfinder to lose control, and the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not announced any citations or charges in connection with the pileup.
