Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg Cage Fight?

Are we about to witness the cage fight of the century?

A Big Tech Brawl?

Twitter vs. Facebook?

Billionaire vs. Billionaire?

CEO vs. CEO?

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have reportedly agreed to hold a cage fight.

Date and location to be announced?

It all started Tuesday when Elon Musk said, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” referring to Mark Zuckerberg.

Alex Heath, editor of The Verge, confirmed Mark Zuckerberg is “serious” about fighting Elon Musk and is waiting for the details.

The Verge shared a screenshot from Mark Zuckerberg’s verified Instagram account that showed Musk’s tweet and said “send me location.”

From The Verge:

After Elon Musk recently tweeted that he would be “up for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg, the Meta CEO shot back by posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the caption “send me location.”

I’ve confirmed that Zuckerberg’s post on his Instagram account is, in fact, not a joke, which means the ball is now in Musk’s court. “The story speaks for itself,” Meta spokesperson Iska Saric told me.

After this story was published, Musk responded with two words: “Vegas Octagon.” He then tweeted: “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”

The talk about a “cage fight” between Musk and Zuckerberg stemmed from Meta, Facebook’s parent company, developing a Twitter rival reportedly called “Threads.”

Mario Nawfal provided details in this post:

Cont. from The Verge:

The backstory here: since I recently reported more details about Meta’s forthcoming Twitter competitor, Musk has been taunting Zuckerberg on Twitter with zingers like “Zuck my 👅.” During an internal all-hands meeting at Meta last week, chief product officer Chris Cox told employees the company thinks creators want a version of Twitter that is “sanely run,” drawing cheers. “I’ve always thought that Twitter should have a billion people using it,” Zuckerberg said during a recent podcast interview with Lex Fridman.

In terms of tech billionaire CEOs literally fighting, Musk versus Zuckerberg would be as good as it gets. Musk, 51, has the upper hand on Zuckerberg in terms of sheer physical size, and he has talked about being in “real hard-core street fights” when he was growing up in South Africa. Meanwhile, Zuckerberg, 39, is an aspirational MMA fighter who is already winning Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. He also claims to have recently completed the grueling “Murph Challenge” workout in just under 40 minutes.

Mainstream outlets are also picking up the story of a potential cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg.

BBC reports:

Two of the world’s most high-profile technology billionaires – Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg – have agreed to fight each other in a cage match.

Mr Musk posted a message on his social media platform Twitter that he was “up for a cage fight” with Mr Zuckerberg.

Mr Zuckerberg, the boss of Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, then posted a screenshot of Mr Musk’s tweet with the caption “send me location”.

“The story speaks for itself,” a Meta spokesperson told the BBC.

Andrew Tate offered to train Elon Musk for the big tech billionaire bout.

Per Daily Mail:

Andrew Tate has backed Elon Musk in battle of the social media behemoths, offering to train Twitter’s controversial owner as he limbers up for a ‘cage match’ with his Facebook rival Mark Zuckerberg.

The influencer and former kickboxing champion, who was this week charged in Romania with rape, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group, shared his grievances with Facebook’s parent company on Twitter earlier today.

He wrote: ‘Meta banned me everywhere for telling the truth about vaccines. But now we can restore honour with a strike at the enemy clans leader. I will train you @elonmusk. You will not lose.’

Musk, 51, offered to go head-to-head with Brazilian jiu-jitsu white belt Zuckerberg in a Twitter thread on Wednesday about a suspected new Facebook project, pegged as a direct ‘response to Twitter’.

When Zuckerberg responded via Meta’s Instagram asking for a location, Musk appeared to double down, suggesting the Vegas Octagon.

I have another stipulation to this cage fight that would likely generate interest across the world.

Whoever loses the social media smackdown has to destroy their platform.

If Zuckerberg takes down Musk onto the canvas, then Twitter leaves the nest.

If Musk walrus’s Zuckerberg into submission, then Meta, which includes Facebook and Instagram, goes into the dust pan.

Billions would watch the bout if that’s the stipulation.

But I digress.

Who would you choose in this billionaire battle?
