Anthony Fauci’s Wife Flips Off Photographer As Former NIAID Director Looks Devastated After Contempt Of Congress Vote

Anthony Fauci looked extremely distraught in a snapshot taken outside of his $2.4 million Washington, D.C., home after the Senate Homeland Security Committee voted to hold him in contempt of Congress.

Rand Paul Just Made His Move Against Fauci — And Senate Democrats Couldn’t Stop Him

Just hours after the vote to refer him to the Justice Department for potential prosecution, a photographer caught Fauci outside wheeling a recycling bin to the curb.

The former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) then got into the passenger seat of a vehicle driven by his wife, Christine Grady.

Grady gave the middle finger to the photographer from the driver’s seat.

More from the New York Post:

Fauci stared blankly out the window as his wife made the rude gesture.

Earlier Thursday, the Senate Homeland Security Committee voted 8-5 along party lines to hold the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in contempt of Congress after he invoked his Fifth Amendment rights 111 times last week.

If convicted of a misdemeanor contempt charge, Fauci could face up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine.

Republican senators contend that Fauci’s opening statement — and the pardon he received from then-President Joe Biden for any potential crimes committed between January 2014 and January 2025 — prevented him from being able to plead the Fifth.

“The assertion of a Fifth Amendment privilege only adheres to those instances where the witness has a reasonable fear of future prosecution, and it must be tailored to any such fear,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) noted.

The Brooklyn-born doctor had been hauled in to testify after being subpoenaed by Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who has accused Fauci of covering-up the origins of COVID-19 and misleading the public about the disease.

Many social media users showed little sympathy for Fauci:

Meanwhile, Fauci was also subpoenaed by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier this week.

The subpoena is part of a state probe into Fauci’s awards, incentives and guidance that impacted Florida’s residents and their businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement comes after Uthmeier, along with Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., pledged to have Fauci investigated at the state level following his Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing last week when he pleaded the Fifth 111 times and references were made to his blanket federal pardon from former President Joe Biden.

“We issued a formal subpoena to Dr. Fauci under Florida state law, seeking a breadth of documents ranging to what he knew when he knew it, his doubts about the safety and efficacy of vaccines that he’s out there promoting, and we’re really focused in on his self-dealing,” Uthmeier announced on Fox News.

“Evidence has come to light that he was trying to personally profit off of this. This is outside of his government duties, his official role: He’s trying to pursue book deals, awards, get connected with high rollers that might help him come into millions and millions of dollars. This is wrong, and it could go towards a deceptive trade practice, fraud, public nuisance, you name it. I think there’s many aspects of Florida law that now are implicated.”

Uthmeier said the activities he is being subpoenaed over were revealed largely through his diary – several hundred pages of writings made on a federal server that Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., released last week.
