Meet The GOP Nominee For Governor Of Colorado Who Casts Out Demons

The Republican nominee for Governor of Colorado has a rather interesting background.

Victor Marx who recently won the GOP Gubernatorial primary in Colorado has a history of performing exorcisms.

According to Marx, he has casted out hundreds of demons by using the authority that is in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Marx is the founder of All Things Possible which is a ministry that focuses on spiritual warfare and he hopes to use his background as the next Governor of Colorado.

9 News provided further details on Marx’s background:

Victor Marx stood before the congregation of a nondenominational church in the suburbs of Los Angeles in 2013 and told his familiar story of facing Satan in the eyes of a teenage girl.

“I said: Demon, on the authority of Jesus Christ, you come forth,” Marx recalled.

“And BOOM! RAWR!” Marx said, imitating a growl. “Black eyes!”

Marx has told the story of that exorcism countless times to countless church groups.

The girl, by Marx’s telling, was locked up in a youth correctional facility in Texas where he was visiting to offer a Bible study. Marx says he instructed the guards to put him in the girl’s cell with her, alone, where he performed a ritual he calls a retooling prayer.

Marx says he commanded the demon afflicting the teenager to tell him his name and the demon replies through the girl’s voice: “I am Satan.”

Marx has performed hundreds of exorcisms –– which he doesn’t call exorcisms –– and doesn’t like when journalists or others use that plain English definition for the practice of banishing demons through prayer or magic.

But it is that one demon hunting encounter, supposedly alone with an incarcerated girl in a prison cell, that was the formative experience in his decades of spiritual warfare.

The campaign of Victor Marx, ministry leader turned Republican nominee for Governor of Colorado, did not respond to 9NEWS’ questions about the teenage girl or Marx’s demon deliverance ministry.

A 9NEWS review of more than 100 hours of Marx’s sermons, speeches, interviews, and podcasts over the last 15 years indicates that his work casting off demons is at the center of his $7.5 million per year ministry, All Things Possible, and can fairly be described as his life’s work.

Marx has put spiritual warfare at the center of his longshot campaign for Governor in a state that has elected just one Republican to the office in the last half century.

His first campaign video of the general election contest against the Democratic nominee, Attorney General Phil Weiser, features an image of Marx standing before a towering cross. Images of churchgoers or campaign rally attendees (it’s not entirely clear) raise their hands in prayer as a booming voice describes Marx as: “A man that understands war on the Earth and war in the Heavens and he will not compromise.”

Marx is uncompromising in his belief that he has the power to command demons to unshackle themselves from humans through a specialized prayer he markets through his website, films, training courses, and paid speaking engagements.

Marx speaks with demons. And he says they speak back.

“It’s an interrogation by a commanded authority,” Marx told The Flyover Conservatives Show during his appearance in August 2025.

Mediaite reported Victor Marx recently challenged his opponent Attorney General Phil Weiser to a debate but there was a catch:

Victor Marx, the controversial GOP nominee for governor of Colorado, challenged his opponent this week to a single general election debate, but with a catch that they do so without a moderator.

Marx made the challenge to Attorney General Phil Weiser (D) in a video clip on Tuesday, saying, “I wanna make an announcement right now regarding the debate. Here in the general, I’m only doing one debate. That is my strategy. It’s what it was in the primary; it’s what’s gonna be in the general. There are tons of media outlets, TV, all wanting to do debates, but I’m doing one, and it’s different.”

“And Phil, I hope your team is watching, because we reached out to you — I did, personally — didn’t hear back. But I’m challenging you to a debate with no moderator. This is gonna be a time for us to actually tell the good folks of Colorado what we’re gonna do — not make empty promises, but what we are gonna do, and show them how,” Marx added in the clip.

Kyle Clark, who helped moderate the June GOP gubernatorial debate Marx participated in, dropped a deep dive on Tuesday into Marx’s ministry.
