Michael Cohen Claims He Reconciled With President Trump Over Discussion About The ‘Far Left’

While President Donald Trump’s first term saw its share of turncoats, perhaps none were as seismic as the defection of his long-time attorney, Michael Cohen.

Since that time, Cohen’s reputation has taken a massive beating. And now that his one-time foe is back in the White House, he now seems interested in repairing the relationship.

As The Hill reported, that’s exactly what he said happened during a recent conversation with the president:

Cohen joined John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby for Friday’s “Cats & Cosby Show” on 77 WABC to talk about the president and said the “far left … brought back the relationship” roughly six months ago.

“Out of nowhere, when I was sitting with my wife at a restaurant, my phone buzzed and it was a text from that friend who expressed to me the president’s genuine empathy for the hell that I was being dragged through … I deeply appreciated that text,” Cohen said. “I actually texted the president. I thanked him. Expressed my sincere hope that this long, exhausting feud between the two of us could finally end.”

Cohen said Trump replied back “almost immediately” and said it was “actually time for us to meet.”

“We both knew the cost of this war,” he said about their feud. “In that moment the ice between us, it didn’t just melt, it broke.”

Cohen said ” the left embraced me as their ultimate weapon against” Trump and that he “deviated from their script. The pack, they turned feral.”

The news fueled some discussion on social media:

Of course, the NeverTrumpers over at The Bulwark saw an opportunity to rail against the president yet again:

Here are some more details, via the New York Post:

Trump’s turncoat former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen has landed a gig at 770 WABC radio, The Post has confirmed.

Cohen told The Post that the new gig will be “completely liberating” and give him an “unfiltered pipeline to the people.”

“I’m moving my 1.5 million followers from my podcasts, YouTube, and Substack over to this new platform, and it’s an absolute rush to have a space where I can give them the plain, unvarnished truth,” Cohen told The Post on Sunday.

“I love it. Radio is intimate, it’s just my voice going straight into your car or your headphones,” Cohen added. “You can’t fake it here; listeners can smell BS from a mile away. And believe me, after everything I’ve been through, I know exactly what BS smells like, and I’m here to call it out every single day.”

And here’s Cohen’s reaction to the media reports:
