Let’s hope Vice President JD is right!
Vice President JD Vance has just revealed who he believes will be the 2028 Democrat Presidential Nominee.
During a recent interview with the Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles, Vice President JD Vance said he believes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be the 2028 Democrat Presidential Nominee.
Vance’s comments come as there has been a split among the Democrat Party as the Democrat Socialists of America wing has been picking up seats against traditional Democrats.
CNN provided details on why Vance believes AOC has the edge over Governor Gavin Newsom:
Vice President JD Vance said that he believes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be the leading Democratic candidate for president 2028.
“I think it’s got to be AOC. I know that’s probably conventional wisdom,” Vance said during an interview on “The Michael Knowles Show” released Tuesday.
When the host argued that conventional wisdom pointed more toward California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Vance pushed back.“No, no,” he said. “I don’t buy that. I think I think he hurt himself with his comment to an audience full of black Americans that I’m low IQ, just like you.”
Vance was referring to a comment Newsom made at an event promoting his book in Atlanta, where the California governor said, “I’m not trying to impress you. I’m just trying to impress upon you. I’m like you. I’m no better than you, you know, I’m a 960 SAT guy … you’ve never seen me read a speech, because I can’t read a speech.”

USA Today reported AOC has since responded to Vance’s remarks:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to Vice President JD Vance’s claim that she would be the leading Democratic presidential nominee for the Democratic Party.
The congresswoman has caused speculation in recent months over whether or not she’s interested in higher office, while Vance is considered one of the potential frontrunners for the Republican nomination in 2028.
ADVERTISEMENTIn response to Vance’s answer, AOC told reporters that she hopes he is a nominee, too.
In an interview in May, the 36-year-old New York congresswoman did not immediately shut out the idea of running next election, whether that be for a Senate seat or the White House.
“They assume that my ambition is a title or a seat,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And my ambition is way bigger than that. My ambition is to change this country.”
