Rep. Tlaib Outraged Antifa Members Locked Up For ICE Center Attack: ‘Bulls***’

When it came to prosecuting those who participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, protest on Capitol Hill, leftists were quick to call on prosecutors to throw the book at them, including the vast majority who were clearly not there to commit any crime.

But now that it’s leftists on the march, some of the same voices are screaming that Antifa terrorists shouldn’t face harsh punishment for violent demonstrations.

Most recently, far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) was up in arms over the sentences handed down to a group of rioters who staged a violent attack on an ICE facility in Texas.

Fox News shared these details:

One of the defendants, Benjamin Song, a former Marine Corps reservist, was handed a 100-year prison sentence — the maximum punishment — Tuesday after being convicted of attempted murder for shooting Alvarado Police Lt. Thomas Gross, who survived a bullet to the neck.

Seven other suspects, allegedly of the North Texas antifa cell, were given sentences spanning 30 to 70 years for charges such as providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to use weapons and explosives, and rioting.

“These sentences are a travesty and totally unjustified, but that’s the point,” Tlaib, a progressive lawmaker associated with “the Squad,” wrote on social media. “Americans hate the fascist Trump regime, so the only way they can try to cling to power is brute force.”

The case, and Tlaib’s reaction, have fueled some social media discussion:

The conviction and sentencing of a group of Antifa-linked terrorists is making Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan implode on social media.

The leader of the violent 2025 attack on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement center in Texas was sentenced to 100 years in prison while seven others were given sentences between 30 and 70 years. Several others have pleaded guilty and await sentencing.

Tlaib objected to the sentencing based on her opposition to President Donald Trump declaring Antifa a terrorist group back in September. Trump made the declaration in NSPM-7, a national security presidential memorandum that established a federal strategy to charge violent groups and networks with terrorism.

“These sentences are a travesty and totally unjustified, but that’s the point,” wrote the congresswoman on a social media post Tuesday.

“Americans hate the fascist Trump regime, so the only way they can try to cling to power is brute force. NSPM-7 is a grave threat to all of us and more bulls**t ‘terrorism’ charges like these are coming.”
