Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene joined Tucker Carlson and announced she’s done with the Republican Party.
“Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party. There is A LOT of us that are absolutely fed up and will not support a party that betrays its voters and country,” Greene said.
“That does not mean we are turning into Democrats either. But we are DONE with the America LAST Republican Party,” she added.

More from The Independent:
The pair have both been critical of Trump’s war on Iran, accusing the White House of putting Israel’s foreign policy above its campaign promise to put America first.
Carlson said he believes the unpopularity of the war with American voters should be a wake up call for the GOP, that the administration’s aggressive foreign policy is alienating loyal supporters like himself.
A new poll from CBS found that 69 percent of Americans say the cost of the war has overshadowed the point of the conflict, with more than half believing the the conflict has caused more problems than it has solved.
“President Trump campaigned proudly on his promise to deny the Iranian regime the ability to develop a nuclear weapon, which is what this noble operation accomplishes,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle said in a previous statement to The Independent.
“The President does not make these incredibly important national security decisions based on fluid opinion polls or podcast hosts, but on the best interest of the American people.”
“I would not support the Republican Party. There’s no chance I would support the Republican Party. Not going to support the Democratic Party. I don’t know what I’m going to do,” Carlson said.
“How could I, or any American voters, support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States, that puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens?” he questioned.
“I’ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party. I mean, very consistent defender. But there’s no defending this because it’s immoral,” Carlson explained.
“And it’s exactly the opposite of what a political party in a democracy is charged with doing, which is representing its own voters, its own citizens, its own nation. And they’re not doing that,” he continued.
“So, no, I’m out. And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out,” he added.

PEOPLE shared further:
As for Greene, the former Georgia congresswoman has been on a “revenge tour” against President Donald Trump since announcing her shocking resignation from the U.S. House of Representatives last November.
At the time, Greene said her decision was motivated by Trump pulling his support from her reelection campaign, citing her vocal advocacy for the release of the Epstein files and her opposition to artificial intelligence provisions in Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” as possible reasons for the president’s betrayal.
“I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” she said at the time. “It’s all so absurd and completely unserious. I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better.”
On June 22, Greene went a step further, saying that she stood with Carlson in cutting ties with the GOP.
