The show must go on!
After a shooting de-railed the initial White House Correspondents Dinner back in April, President Trump just announced that the event has been re-scheduled.
The new press dinner will take place on July 24th at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Washington, D.C.
President Trump confirmed that he has accepted an invitation to attend, though he isn’t sure whether he will still make the same “nasty statements” about people he originally planned!

In a sign of Strength and Fortitude, it was just announced that The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which violently ended rather abruptly on April 25th, will be rescheduled to July 24th. This announcement is a very good thing in that we cannot allow Lunatics to change our way of life, or even its scheduling. I was asked to be there, and speak, by Weijia Jiang, President of The White House Correspondents’ Association, and have accepted. I don’t know whether or not I will give the same rather nasty statements, at least as it concerns certain people, but we will soon find out. In any event, it will be a “HOT” ticket! Interestingly, the location will be The Waldorf Astoria, on Pennsylvania Avenue, a Building and Ballroom that I built. President DONALD J. TRUMP
You’ve got to love President Trump.
The multiple assassination attempts on his life have not put a damper on his spirit.
What a legend!
WHCA President Weiga Jiang said that there will be enhanced security measures at the re-scheduled dinner:

BREAKING: The White House Correspondents’ Association is moving forward with a rescheduled Correspondents’ Dinner after this year’s event was interrupted by an assassination attempt against President Trump.
ADVERTISEMENTWHCA President Weijia Jiang says the July 24 gathering in Washington, D.C. will feature significantly enhanced security and serve as a message that “violence has no place in American life.”
“We will not allow an act of violence to have the last word.”
CBS News confirmed:
The White House Correspondents’ Association announced Tuesday that it will reschedule its annual press dinner for July 24 after the initial event was disrupted when a gunman attacked the gathering attended by President Trump, senior administration officials and scores of journalists.
Weijia Jiang, who is the president of the association and a CBS News senior White House correspondent, said in an email to members of the White House Correspondents’ Association that the rescheduled event would be a “more intimate gathering” and feature “significantly enhanced safety measures and new access procedures…”
“This dinner will not only be an opportunity to carry out our program. It will be a statement that violence has no place in American life and a free press will not be intimidated into silence,” she wrote. “As you have all demonstrated, courage and community can and should rise above.”
She said the decision to hold a second dinner was made by the association’s board after receiving input from members.
“We will not allow an act of violence to have the last word, especially during a year when we are reflecting on the 250th anniversary of America and everything we stand for,” Jiang wrote.

As you may or may not know, the D.C. Waldorf Astoria hotel was originally owned by President Trump.
It was formerly called the Trump International Hotel before he sold it in 2022.
