That’s one more RINO out of office, and one more MAGA patriot taking his place!

Paxton won by over 60% of the vote.

This comes after President Trump decided to endorse Ken Paxton last week — a move that stunned the swamp.
Like clockwork, that endorsement pretty much secured Paxton’s victory in Texas.
He will now face off with Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico in November.

Trump targeted Cornyn as “VERY disloyal” as he backed Paxton, a MAGA firebrand, in the final days of the runoff campaign.
Paxton now faces off against state Rep. James Talarico — a rising star in the Democratic Party — in the general election in a race that is among a handful that may decide if the Republicans hold their slim 53-47 majority in the Senate.
NBC News reported further on tonight’s results:
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has defeated Sen. John Cornyn for the Republican Senate nomination, NBC News projects, the latest challenger backed by President Donald Trump to unseat an incumbent.
Paxton will face Democratic state Rep. James Talarico in a November race that could become key to the fight for the Senate majority.
Trump endorsed Paxton last week, giving him a last-minute boost in his bid to oust Cornyn, who has been in the Senate since 2003. Cornyn and Paxton faced off Tuesday in a head-to-head runoff after no candidate won more than 50% of the vote in the initial multicandidate March primary.
ADVERTISEMENTPaxton’s victory is the latest in Trump’s successful efforts to oust sitting Republicans whom he has perceived as insufficiently loyal as he tries to tighten his grip on the party. Trump backed Republican primary opponents this month who defeated Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and several Indiana state senators.
During his victory speech, Ken Paxton promised to back President Trump’s America First agenda 100% if elected as Senator — including getting the SAVE Act passed!
