The first batch of votes has been counted in one of the most-watched congressional races in Kentucky’s history.
On Tuesday, residents in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District hit the polls in a race between the Trump-endorsed Ed Gallrein and Rep. Thomas Massie.
With 20% of the vote counted, former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein leads Rep. Thomas Massie 56.5% to 43.5%.
Take a look:

NBC News has reported that Gallrein is even outperforming Senate candidate Andy Barr in some counties.

Earlier on Tuesday, President Trump called out Massie for sharing an old endorsement Trump made to the congressman.
Yahoo News had the full scoop:
As Kentucky voters head to the polls on Tuesday for the state’s primary election, President Donald Trump wants Thomas Massie stop sharing an old endorsement.
Massie is running for reelection in Kentucky’s 4th congressional district and faces Trump-backed candidate Ed Gallrein.
ADVERTISEMENTIn a social media post Tuesday, Gallrein warned voters that Massie had “sent a text claiming to be endorsed by President Trump.”
“That is false,” Gallrein continued. “He’ll say anything to stay in Congress forever.”
Leading up to the primary, Trump flooded social media with attacks toward Massie, calling him a “weak and pathetic RINO” and “a totally ineffective LOSER who has failed us so badly.”
Trump took to Truth Social again on Tuesday to demand the incumbent congressman stop sharing his prior endorsement.
“Horrible Congressman Thomas Massie put out an old Endorsement, from many years ago, of him by me long before I found out that he was the Worst Congressman in the History of our Country,” Trump said. “I endorsed Ed Gallrein, a true American Patriot, which Massie knows full well, so the statement that he put out is fraudulent, just like HE is fraudulent. WITHDRAW YOUR FAKE STATEMENT, MASSIE, RIGHT NOW!”
Massie responded to Trump’s demands with a screenshot of the president’s 2022 endorsement, asking him, “Is this the one?”

As you can see from Massie’s post, Trump’s endorsement was from 2022.
We will keep you updated on the highly watched race as more votes come pouring in.
