Kash Patel DEMOLISHES Sen. Chris Van Hollen for Trying to Smear Him as an Alcoholic

This might be the best takedown of a Democrat Senator ever.

During a Senate hearing today, Sen. Chris Van Hollen peddled some baseless, fake news lies about FBI Director Kash Patel’s drinking habits.

But, it ended up backfiring spectacularly…

Director Patel shot down the disgusting rumors and turned the tables on Sen. Van Hollen, pointing out that he was the one slinging back margaritas with a convicted gang member in El Salvador!

As you probably remember, Sen. Chris Van Hollen made a trip to El Salvador last year to personally meet with MS-13 gang member and rapist Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

The two were pictured sipping day-drinking margaritas together. And now, that’s coming back to bite him.

During today’s Senate hearing, Patel also called out Van Hollen for running up a $7,000 tab at a D.C. bar.

For reference, the allegations against Kash Patel that Sen. Van Hollen was referring to originated with a hit piece from the left-wing publication The Atlantic.

Kash Patel is currently suing the outlet over the fake news smears.

Per NBC News:

Patel has previously denied the allegations in The Atlantic and last month filed a $250 million defamation suit over the story, calling it a “sweeping, malicious, and defamatory hit piece.” The magazine has said it stands by the story and will fight “this meritless lawsuit.”

In a statement to NBC News after Tuesday’s hearing, Van Hollen said: “If public reporting on his drinking were not enough to call into question his fitness to serve as FBI Director, his behavior today absolutely did. He’s a disgrace to the office he holds.”

Sen. Van Hollen is the very picture of hypocrisy…

And, he also doesn’t know when to cut his losses and keep his mouth shut.

Later on during the Senate hearing, Van Hollen thought it was a good idea to try to bring up the allegations again and accuse Kash Patel of lying before Congress.

As you might have expected, it didn’t go so well for him, either.
