BOOM: Missouri Supreme Court Hands Republicans ANOTHER Redistricting Win

In another win for Republicans ahead of midterms, the Missouri Supreme Court has just upheld the state’s new congressional map.

The redistricting effort is expected to give Republicans one additional seat.

Here’s a closer look at the new map:

Today’s Missouri Supreme Court ruling was unanimous.

The Hill reported further:

The rulings landed just hours after the court heard oral arguments in three underlying lawsuits attempting to block the new lines.

“This Court’s review of the Missouri residents’ appeals is limited to determining only the legality – not the prudence or popularity – of the map,” Chief Justice W. Brent Powell wrote in one of the rulings.

It paves the way for Republicans’ map that would break up Rep. Emanuel Cleaver’s (D-Mo.) seat to go into effect this November. It’s set to give the GOP an additional pickup opportunity in the House, building on the seats the party redrew to its liking in other red states.

Tuesday’s decision is the final word unless the U.S. Supreme Court somehow intervenes. The lawsuits concern rules embedded in Missouri’s constitution, and the U.S. high court justices can only get involved if the dispute raises a federal issue.

In a statement on X, Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe called it a huge victory for voters:

Today’s Missouri Supreme Court rulings are a HUGE victory for voters.

Missourians are more alike than we are different, and our Missouri values—rooted in common sense, hard work, and personal responsibility— are stronger and far more aligned across both sides of the aisle than the extreme left-wing agendas pushed in states like New York, California, and Illinois.

The Missouri First Map ensures those values are represented fairly and accurately at every level of government.

This August, Missouri voters will head to the ballot box to vote for candidates in these newly drawn districts.

All these wins are really starting to pile up!

Ever since the bombshell SCOTUS ruling a couple weeks ago outlawing racial gerrymandering, many states have been racing to make their maps fair before November.

We’ve already seen Louisiana and Tennessee make major headway. Then, last week, we saw the Virginia Supreme Court strike down the wildly unconstitutional Democrat-gerrymandered map that they tried to slip through!

But, it’s not all good news.

We'll continue to bring you further developments on the redistricting efforts happening nationwide.

But remember, the new maps mean nothing without people actually getting up off the couch to go vote!

Be sure to do your part this November. It's very important!
