President Trump made a very special appearance at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona this afternoon.
The “Build the Red Wall” rally was held at Dream City Church, which the late and great Charlie Kirk attended.
During his speech, President Trump delivered a heartfelt eulogy for Charlie, noting that his voice is still “roaring and roaring back” louder than ever before!

JUST IN: President Trump eulogizes Charlie Kirk, just over 7 months from Charlie’s assassination
“Charlie was murdered by a cruel and vicious assassin who believed that by silencing his voice, he could kill an entire giant movement.
But standing here today, it’s clear to see that Charlie’s voice is not silenced—it’s roaring and roaring back, louder, frankly than ever before.
His message is UNSTOPPABLE. His mission is totally unstoppable, and his movement is NOT going to happen any other way but success.
It’s amazing what he’s done.
He was such a great friend of mine. We talked all the time, we’d speak all the time, talking about politics, we talked about God. We talked about everything you can talk about.
He was a special person, and I want to just thank Erika. She was put into a rough situation. Don’t kid yourself. That’s a rough situation. Those people think they think it’s easy.”
What a powerful message.
Charlie Kirk’s legacy will live on!
Erika Kirk was also in attendance at the rally, despite skipping out on a scheduled event with Vice President JD Vance a few days ago due to serious threats.
President Trump embraced her after making an epic entrance onto the stage:

President Trump’s entire speech tonight is worth the watch.
I highly recommend watching the full thing right here:
But, in case you don’t have time right now or prefer to read, here’s a useful breakdown of the key points of President Trump’s speech:
- Event context and timing: Trump spoke at Dream City Church in north Phoenix to rally support for Republican candidates in the 2026 midterms (governor, attorney general, secretary of state, schools superintendent). He took the stage around 3:00 p.m. MT for a 53-minute speech and closed by urging the crowd, “Win those midterms, Arizona.”
- Opening remarks: Trump praised TPUSA CEO Erika Kirk for her strength following the September assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, and highlighted his 2024 landslide victory.
- Climate change comment: He joked that the planet was actually cooling before Democrats switched the term to “climate change” because it “takes care of heat, snow, whatever you got.”
- Foreign policy highlights:
- Called Venezuela “our new partner” in global energy production and claimed the U.S. produces more oil than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined.
- Bragged about suspending refugee programs except for South Africans, describing the situation there as a “genocide.”
- Declared that “Iran was the bully of the Middle East… They’re not the bully anymore,” claimed to have ended eight wars (and was nearing the end with Iran and Lebanon), promised to “make Lebanon great again,” and thanked leaders of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait for their help (while noting NATO provided none).
- Domestic agenda and criticism of Democrats: Trump criticized Democrats for wanting to “defund ICE” and opposing border security, touted strengthened trade, tax relief (including temporarily lifting income taxes on tipped wages), and average tax refunds over $4,000 per filer.
- Endorsements: He endorsed Rep. Andy Biggs for Arizona governor in the GOP primary and former Arizona Cardinals kicker Jay Feely for the congressional seat vacated by Schweikert.
- Shout-outs and crowd energy: Trump gave multiple shout-outs to Arizona sports figures (Ryan Thompson, Curt Schilling, Mark Grace, Jeremy Roenick, Danica Patrick, Tom Chambers, John Gambadoro). The crowd cheered his accomplishments, booed named Democrats, and chanted “USA! USA!” during veteran recognitions.
- Closing: Trump wrapped up with a “Make America great again” pledge and emphasized the importance of maintaining GOP control of Congress in the midterms.
