After around 21 hours negotiating with Iran, Vice President JD Vance just held an early morning press conference in Pakistan.
He gave us some good news, and some bad news.
The bad news is that the U.S. did not reach a deal with Iran to end the war.
But, the good news is that Iran will suffer much more for refusing peace. America has all the cards here.
VP Vance made it very clear that this is “bad news for Iran much more than it is bad news for the USA.”
Watch what he had to say here:

Thank you for pushing hard, JD! America First.
Vice President JD Vance stood his ground, even as talks dragged on for nearly a full day.
He refused to give Iranians an inch when it comes to their nuclear capacity.

VANCE: “The simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon!”
“That is the core goal of the President of the United States, and that’s what we’ve tried to achieve through these negotiations.”
“Again, their nuclear programs, such as it is, the enrichment facilities that they’ve had before, they’ve been destroyed.”
ADVERTISEMENT“But the simple question is, do we see a fundamental commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a nuclear weapon, not just now, not just two years from now, but for the long term? We haven’t seen that yet. We hope that we will.”
VP Vance also said that he ended talks by offering Iran a “final and best offer.”
Hopefully, they will accept it and avoid further destruction of their nation.

NBC News summed up how the U.S.-Iran negotiations in Pakistan went:
- NO AGREEMENT IN PAKISTAN: Vice President JD Vance said the U.S. leaves Islamabad, where a delegation was meeting for face-to-face negotiations with Iran, without reaching an agreement. The sides held talks for 21 hours, he said.
- IRANIAN NUCLEAR PROGRAM: Vance said after the talks that the U.S. needs a commitment that Iran would not seek to develop a unclear weapon. “We haven’t seen that yet. We hope that we will,” he said.
- U.S. BEGINS MINE-CLEARING EFFORT: CENTCOM said U.S. warships are setting conditions to reopen a safe passage after Iran laid mines in the key shipping lane.
- NETANYAHU SAYS IRAN CAMPAIGN ‘NOT OVER YET’: The Israeli prime minister said the strikes were launched because Iran was close to obtaining nuclear weapons and he claimed major blows to its nuclear program.
- STRIKES CONTINUE IN LEBANON: Lebanon’s Health Ministry said raids on Tuffahta wounded nine people, five of them critically.
- DEATH TOLL: Iranian officials have not released a recent death toll. The U.S.-based rights group HRANA put the total number of people killed at almost 3,400, including more than 1,600 civilians. More than 2,000 people have been killed in Lebanon, and 23 people have died in Israel. Thirteen U.S. service members have been killed, and two more died of noncombat causes.
