Well, this is somewhat interesting.
President Trump may have been the first person Tiger Woods called after he crashed his car before being arrested for a DUI in Florida last week.
New bodycam footage from the scene after the crash shows Tiger Woods speaking on the phone to someone when approached by law enforcement.
He told them that he was “just talking with the President.”
TMZ reported:
TMZ Sports has obtained body cam footage that shows Tiger hanging around as cops assessed the scene. He was not cuffed at the time and was permitted to sit in a police cruiser before cops had him perform a field sobriety test.
At one point, Tiger walked away from the cruiser and into the distance … forcing police to call him back to the scene. While Tiger is walking back, he appears to be on the phone and can be heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye.” The officer then asked Tiger to remain close by … to which he replied: “Yeah, I was just talking with the President.”

As for what President Trump and Tiger Woods were talking about, we got a hint in that clip.
Tiger Woods could be heard telling his manager that President Trump “was very apologetic for what he did last night.”
It appears that Woods is referencing a comment that President Trump made about his golfing career to Fox News.
CNBC has more:
Trump, the evening before, during an interview on Fox News’ “The Five,” claimed that Woods would not be playing in the upcoming Masters tournament. Days before, Woods publicly left open the possibility of playing in the Masters, and he had not made any statement before the crash that he had decided not to participate.
Woods is dating Trump’s former daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr.
Woods, 50, was charged by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office with driving under the influence after Friday’s crash, which occurred after his Land Rover SUV clipped a truck’s trailer in Jupiter, Fla.
The golfer had two opioid pills in his pants and had “bloodshot and glassy eyes,” “extremely dilated pupils,” and was “sweating profusely,” according to an arrest affidavit.
Shortly after the crash, Trump called Woods a “very close friend.”
“I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident, and that’s all I know,” Trump told reporters. “He’s an amazing person, amazing man, but some difficulty.”
ADVERTISEMENTWoods said on Tuesday evening that “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”
He has pleaded not guilty in the case.
