The professor who was tragically killed by an ISIS-linked former National Guard member at Old Dominion University has just been identified as Lt. Col. Brandon Shah.
He was a retired and decorated military veteran who was the school’s ROTC program leader.

He was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Atlantic Resolve.
His awards included two Bronze Stars, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with Valor, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Joint Service Achievement Medal.

After their instructor was horrifically shot and killed by the terrorist gunman — whose name was Mohamed Jalloh — his students sprang into action.
One brave hero stabbed Jalloh to death, saving countless lives.
The FBI confirmed that Jalloh was taken down by the students without the use of firearms.
