WATCH: President Trump Promises Retaliation for Ambush Attack in Syria that Killed U.S. Soldiers

Two U.S soldiers and one civilian were killed after being ambushed by an ISIS gunman in Syria.

Now, President Trump is vowing retaliation for the ambush on Americans.

While speaking on the attack, President Trump honored the "great patriots" who lost their lives today and confirmed that the U.S. will be taking action against ISIS.

NEW: President Trump says the U.S. WILL retaliate after the attack on Americans in Syria leaving 3 dead and 3 more injured.

“This was an ISIS attack. On us and Syria. And again, we mourn the loss and we pray for them and their parents and their loved ones.”

“We will retaliate. Three great patriots in Syria. It was an ambush. We also have three wounded. They seem to be doing pretty well.”

The names of the soldiers who were killed will be withheld from the public for 24 hours so that their families may be notified first.
