OUTRAGE: Illegal Alien Who Killed Cop and His Girlfriend in DUI Crash Allegedly VOTED Multiple Times

Outrage is erupting after a police officer and his girlfriend were killed earlier this month in a crash caused by an illegal alien who was driving drunk.

27-year-old Melissa Ramirez from Mexico was speeding when she smashed her car into Connecticut cop Cooper Whiteside’s Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Tragically, both Cooper and his girlfriend Brittany Islami died in the crash.

Ramirez’s blood alcohol level was 0.14 — nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08. In addition, she tested positive for cannabis.

Libs of TikTok shared Ramirez’s mugshot, along with some photos of Officer Whiteside and his girlfriend:

Melissa Ramirez is now facing multiple serious charges, along with an ICE detainer.

The New York Post reported:

Ramirez, a mom of two from Mexico, allegedly clocked speeds of 56 mph in a 45 mph zone when she hit Whiteside’s Harley-Davidson at around 3 a.m. in Danbury on July 13, sending him and his passenger girlfriend flying.

Whiteside, a Bridgeport police officer, was found “lying in a supine position” and he sustained “significant injuries to his head, upper extremities and torso,” police said in their report seen by Connecticut Centinal.

“His right femur was protruding through the skin,” cops added, noting there was a “large pool of blood” in the road.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed in a statement to The Post that Ramirez was in the country illegally.

“Melissa Esperanza Ramirez-Romero is a criminal illegal alien with charges for Vehicular Manslaughter and DUI. On July 26, 2026, ICE lodged a detainer against her,” the department said.

Islami — a mom to three children aged 7, 10, and 12 — suffered “significant injuries” and “had blood around her face,” police said, noting she wasn’t wearing a helmet.

The couple died as a result of blunt force trauma, according to the medical examiner.

Investigators also discovered the crash happened in the motorcycle lane, suggesting Ramirez’s Jeep had crossed lanes.

Ramirez was interrogated and told cops she had one 12-ounce Corona beer, and initially laughed when they asked her if she had taken any drugs.

She later admitted that she took cannabis on July 10, three days before the crash.

Homeland Security shared a local news clip that provided more coverage:

Ramirez’s bond was originally set at $500,000.

But, infuriatingly, a judge reduced it during her arraignment, citing “deep ties to the community.”

Per News-Times:

Ramirez was apprehended Friday — the same day Whiteside’s funeral was held in Bethel — by Danbury police with the help of Stamford and Bridgeport officers.

During her arraignment, Ramirez appeared before Judge Seán McGuinness in handcuffs and a tan jumpsuit alongside attorney Dan Thibodeau. She appeared visibly upset and could be seen wiping away tears as McGuinness advised her of her rights.

A bail commissioner, who described Ramirez as a longtime Connecticut resident who recently lost her job, recommended her bond be lowered to $250,000.

Thibodeau, who supported the bail commissioner’s recommended bond, told the court Ramirez has two children — ages 12 and 5 — and no criminal record. He also noted that she was born in Mexico but has “spent her whole life” in Connecticut and has “significant ties to the area.”

Thibodeau also told the court that after the July 13 crash, Ramirez “stayed at the scene, cooperated with police (and) did everything she could afterwards to make herself available to police officers.”

State’s Attorney Stacey Haupt Miranda disagreed that Ramirez “made herself available” to police and requested her bond be kept at $500,000. Miranda expressed flight risk concerns and also mentioned an immigration detainer during Ramirez’s arraignment.

McGuinness ultimately decided to set Ramirez’s bond at $300,000 and scheduled her next court date for Aug. 31.

But, it gets even worse.

Reportedly, this drunk-driving illegal alien from Mexico was a registered voter in Connecticut who voted in several elections.

Blue Lives Matter on X brought the receipts:

Blast this EVERYWHERE!! Here are the confirmed details – thanks to help from @CTCentinal!!!

Melissa Esperanza Ramirez, the 27-year-old charged with driving drunk and crashing into off-duty Bridgeport Police Officer Cooper Whiteside and his girlfriend Brittany Islami on July 13, had her bond lowered from $500,000 to $300,000 by Democrat-appointed Judge Seán McGuinness. The reason cited was that “she has deep ties to the community.”

Ramirez’s blood alcohol level was 0.14. Both Whiteside, 38, and Islami, 34, a mother of three, died at the scene. ICE has lodged a detainer identifying her as a criminal illegal alien.

This comes weeks after another illegal alien in West Hartford was found registered to vote through the DMV. Connecticut Democrats demanded his release and still insist voter fraud does not exist.

An illegal alien charged with killing a police officer and a mother of three gets a bond reduction for “deep ties” while the state voter database shows she has been registered since 2017 and voted in three consecutive elections.

PASS THE #SAVEAct NOW!!!! Arrest the Democrats in Connecticut who have completely compromised the voting systems BY DESIGN!!! Enough already!!
