JUST IN: President Trump Floods D.C. With Federal Law Enforcement For 7-Day Crime Crackdown

It’s happening…

True to his word, President Trump has taken swift action to start cleaning up the streets of our nation’s capital.

This evening, he ordered a 7-day crackdown on crime in Washington, D.C. — which involved a surge of federal law enforcement presence.

Starting at 12:01 AM on Friday, federal officers from a range of agencies will deploy in D.C. to patrol the streets.

News Nation’s Kellie Meyer broke the news:

BREAKING: President Trump is increasing the presence of federal law enforcement across Washington, DC.

Starting tonight, “there will be an increased presence of federal law enforcement in response to crime in DC,” a White House official tells me.

This will be beginning as a 7-day effort, with the option to extend as needed, per. White House official.

She also provided a list of all the types of law enforcement who will participate in this effort to clean up the streets of D.C.

Increased law enforcement will be present on the streets at midnight, led by U.S. Park Police following an 11PMroll call at the established command center, with participation from all members of the Task Force’s Law Enforcement Working Group over the course of the seven day operation, including:

  • Amtrak Police Department (APD)
  • United States Capitol Police (USCP)
  • Metro Police Department (MPD)
  • Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
  • Federal Protective Service (FPS)
  • Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO)
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
  • Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF)
  • United States Marshals Service (USMS)
  • United States Attorney’s Office – District of Columbia (DDC)
  • Department of Interior (DOI)
  • Pre-Trial Services Agency (PSA)
  • Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA)

This comes just days after President Trump threatened to seize control of Washington, D.C. to restore law and order in the city, which has become plagued by violent crimes from gangbangers and “local youths.”

The New York Times has more details on the crackdown:

It is unclear how many agents will be part of the surge and in what parts of the city. A statement from the White House said that the deployment “will be focused on high traffic tourist areas and other known hotspots,” a category that could be broadly interpreted to include much of the city.

The White House also said that officers “will be identified, in marked units, and highly visible,” an apparent reference to concerns about the aggressive tactics of masked immigration police who have been filmed swarming people on the street, arresting them with zip ties and bundling them into unmarked vehicles.

Mr. Trump’s order, announced on Thursday evening hours before the deployment was set to start, comes as the president has focused on youth crime in Washington. Young people make up a majority of the arrests for robbery and carjacking in the city, and online discussions among residents have been filled with videos and personal accounts of crowds of rowdy teenagers confronting pedestrians. The White House’s announcement included several of those videos that have gone viral in recent weeks.

Recently, DOGE’s Edward “Big Balls” Coristine was brutally beaten in Washington, D.C. while saving his girlfriend from a gang of thugs late at night.

Earlier today, President Trump promised Edward that D.C. “will be a safe place very soon” in a post on Truth Social:

He’s already working on keeping that promise…

You can be confident that he won’t rest until Washington, D.C. is safe again!
