BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel Has Now Found “Thousands” Of Trump–Russia Collusion Hoax Documents In “Burn Bags” In A Secret Room

Ok, this is wild…

And honestly I’m not sure what to make of it because it seems so wildly far-fetched and it stretches credulity, but I’ll report first and comment later.

Multiple sources are now confirming that FBI Director Kash Patel has found “thousands” of new Trump-Russia collusion hoax documents in “Burn Bags” in a Secret Room within the FBI:

Here’s a quick summary of what we know so far:

  • FBI Director Kash Patel reportedly discovered a hidden room at FBI headquarters containing multiple “burn bags” — secure containers used for destroying classified documents.

  • These burn bags were found to hold thousands of sensitive and classified documents tied to the origins of the Trump–Russia probe investigation.

  • Among the recovered material was the classified annex to former Special Counsel John Durham’s final report, which includes detailed underlying intelligence.

  • A declassification process is underway, involving coordination between Patel, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, DNI Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and other officials.

  • The classified annex will be submitted to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who is expected to release it to the public.

  • Sources suggest the documents point to credible foreign intelligence indicating the FBI may have had plans to spread the Trump–Russia collusion narrative before launching the Crossfire Hurricane probe.

  • Some former officials—like CIA head John Brennan—are mentioned in speculation about meetings that may have involved discussions of efforts by opposing political campaigns to “vilify” Trump.

  • Patel previously stated in interviews that he had discovered a previously concealed secure facility (SCIF) at FBI HQ with documents and hard drives that “no one had seen or heard of.”

  • The new documents are under congressional review, potentially reshaping understanding of how the Russia investigation originated.

  • The broader narrative being presented by those releasing the information frames the Russia collusion allegation as possibly manufactured or politically influenced, potentially vindicating perspectives held by Trump’s supporters.

Fox News confirms the extremely strange and quite-frankly hard to believe details:

FBI Director Kash Patel found a trove of sensitive documents related to the origins of the Trump–Russia probe buried in multiple “burn bags” in a secret room inside the bureau, sources told Fox News Digital.

Sources told Fox News Digital that the “burn bag” system is used to destroy documents designated as classified or higher.

Sources told Fox News Digital that multiple burn bags were found and filled with thousands of documents.

Sources told Fox News Digital that one of the documents FBI officials found in a burn bag was the classified annex to former special counsel John Durham’s final report, which includes the underlying intelligence he reviewed.

The declassification of the classified annex is being done in close coordination between CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Patel, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi and acting National Security Agency Director William Hartman.

The declassified annex will be transmitted to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who ultimately will release the document to the public.

Sources exclusively briefed Fox News Digital on some of the contents of the classified annex — including that the U.S. intelligence community had credible foreign sources indicating that the FBI would play a role in spreading the alleged Trump–Russia collusion narrative — before the bureau ever launched its controversial Crossfire Hurricane probe.

So if you believe this official report, you are supposed to believe there was some secret room almost like a hidden room behind a bookshelf in some movie that Kash Patel just discovered!  Oh my!

And then you’re supposed to believe that Merrick Garland and Biden’s DOJ just left thousands of incriminating documents in “burn bags” in that room and from November 2024-January 2025 they never double checked to see if those documents were actually destroyed or not.

Anyone buying that?

My friend MJTruth seems to be suggesting it’s all KAYFABE theater and at this point it’s hard to dismiss that possibility:

I turned to Grok to challenge the credibility of all these claims and asked it whether this story was believable or not.

Here’s what it told me:

Burn bags are secure containers, typically made of heavy-duty paper or similar materials, used primarily by U.S. government agencies and institutions to collect sensitive or classified documents and other materials that are designated for destruction. They are often marked with labels like “BURN” or “SECRET” to indicate their contents and purpose. Once filled, these bags are sealed and transported to a secure facility where the contents are incinerated, shredded, or otherwise destroyed in a controlled manner to prevent any possibility of recovery or unauthorized access.

This process is governed by strict protocols, such as those outlined in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations and Department of Defense directives, which specify that burn bags should only contain materials unsuitable for standard shredding and must be handled with appropriate security measures during collection and transport.

Their primary purpose is to safeguard national security and protect sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands. By centralizing the collection of classified waste—such as outdated reports, notes, or media—burn bags help ensure that potentially compromising data is completely eliminated rather than risking leaks through improper disposal methods like regular trash or recycling. This system is a standard practice in environments handling classified information, including intelligence agencies, military installations, and diplomatic offices, to comply with laws on information security and prevent espionage or inadvertent disclosures.

Regarding your skepticism about the Biden/Garland-era Department of Justice (DOJ) allegedly leaving evidence in burn bags within a locked room: This appears to reference a breaking story from July 30, 2025, involving FBI Director Kash Patel’s reported discovery of thousands of sensitive documents related to the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation (the 2016 probe into alleged Trump-Russia ties) stashed in burn bags inside a hidden sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF)—a highly secure, access-controlled room designed for handling classified materials—at FBI headquarters in the J. Edgar Hoover Building.

The documents reportedly include a classified annex to former Special Counsel John Durham’s 2023 final report on the origins of the Russia probe, along with underlying intelligence that allegedly shows foreign sources predicting the FBI’s role in promoting the Trump-Russia collusion narrative before the investigation officially launched.

Patel, a Trump appointee and vocal critic of the prior FBI leadership, described finding the room—allegedly concealed by former directors like James Comey—during a June podcast interview with Joe Rogan, noting it contained documents and hard drives “that no one had ever seen or heard of.”

It’s reasonable to question the plausibility, as the story implies these materials were slated for destruction (consistent with burn bag usage) but were instead left intact in a secret SCIF, potentially assuming the room’s obscurity would prevent discovery.

Reports speculate this could stem from oversight during the Biden administration’s transition out of power, where the bags weren’t processed for destruction, or perhaps an internal decision to preserve them without disclosure.

SCIFs are not ordinary locked rooms; they are fortified against surveillance and require high-level clearances, so prior officials might have believed the setup was secure enough to evade scrutiny from successors.

However, Patel’s team reportedly uncovered it early in his tenure while pursuing transparency initiatives, and the documents are now being declassified in coordination with other Trump administration officials, including CIA Director John Ratcliffe and DNI Tulsi Gabbard, for release via Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley.

The narrative has been reported across multiple outlets, including Fox News, Daily Mail, Townhall, and international sources like Times of India and WION, based on anonymous sources familiar with the matter.

As a fast-developing story tied to politically charged figures, it hasn’t yet drawn widespread counter-reporting from left-leaning media, but some coverage notes the potential for partisan framing given Patel’s background.

If true, it wouldn’t be unprecedented for sensitive materials to be overlooked in secure government spaces during handovers—similar issues arose in past cases like Biden’s own classified documents found in his garage and office during the transition period.

Ultimately, the full declassification and Grassley’s release may provide more clarity on why the documents lingered.
