KTLA shared these details on Vance’s visit:

Vice President JD Vance was seen strolling through Disneyland while on a trip to Southern California Saturday.

The Vice President, his wife Usha and two of their children were seen walking through Bayou Country.

The user who posted the video to X that was obtained by KTLA — @DisneyScoopGuy — said in a separate post that Vance and his family rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. A third post from the same user showed Vance and his family going to the high-end 21 Royal restaurant located within the park.

Vance also appeared to take in the sights at Tom Sawyer’s Island, too.

The Fullerton Observer reported that protesters organized outside of Vance’s hotel in California:

A protest opposing Vice President J.D. Vance took place on Wednesday June 11, 2025, commencing at 5:30 PM at the intersection of Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. Demonstrators marched towards Disneyland Way, where a significant police presence was noted, including approximately 50 officers in riot gear, unmarked vehicles, and a SWAT van positioned to manage the crowd.

Despite the heavy police presence, the protesters continued their march along Walnut Street, passing the Disneyland parking area and moving in front of Downtown Disney. The protest frequently reiterated calls for attention to their concerns, particularly aimed at Vance, who was reportedly staying at the Grand Californian Hotel with his family.

The event maintained a peaceful atmosphere, with participants expressing their dedication to exercising their First Amendment rights. Organizers and attendees voiced hopes that their message would resonate not only with Vance but across the wider community. The actions taken during the protest were characterized by a commitment to nonviolence and civic engagement.
