MUST SEE: Melania Trump Brings Independence Day Gifts, Decorations To Sick Kids

First lady Melania Trump might not crave the spotlight like some of her predecessors, but she is committed to carrying out the unique duties of her unofficial position in her own inimitable way.

One recent example involved a visit she made to the Children’s National Hospital.

Trump spent time with young patients on Thursday, helping them make decorations and handing out gifts as part of a pre-4th of July celebration.

Breitbart offered additional details about her outreach:

Mrs. Trump brought along a passel full of stuffed toys including teddy bears, as well as books and blankets for the kiddies.

She also sat with many of the children and talked with them about their favorite sports, foods, and hobbies.

She even joked about her presidential hubby’s hobby of golf when one of the kids asked if she also enjoyed the game.

“No, I don’t play golf,” she said chuckling. She did, though, admit she has played the game with Donald in the past.

Photos and video clips of the visit soon began to flood social media:

The Hill also reported on the First Lady’s latest outing:

The first lady took part in craft activities with the children and met privately with heart and kidney patients and their families, according to the White House. Trump also stopped by the Bunny Mellon Healing Garden, a space named after Rachel “Bunny” Mellon, a friend of former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

Trump at one point asked a group of kids seated around a table what they liked to do as they decorated rocks. One child said they played football, another said soccer and a third said golf. The first lady asked another child what kind of music they like.
