It’s happening — the President has given the order to deploy the National Guard in response to violent resistance to ICE operations in California.
Border Czar Tom Homan made the announcement just a short time ago.
While state and local Democrat leadership stands by, federal agents are being violently attacked by out-of-control rioters in the course of executing their sworn duty.
National Guard Units are reportedly being deployed as of this moment to Los Angeles County.
And breaking as I’m writing, journalist Nick Sortor is reporting that President Trump has taken command of the California National Guard for the express purpose of fielding them in Los Angeles:
🚨 #BREAKING: President Trump has officially taken control of the California National Guard and will be deploying THOUSANDS of troops to the streets of Los Angeles tonight, per Gov. Newsom

There have been dramatic engagements pitting federal law enforcement officers against growing crowds of rioters.
This harrowing video was released a short time ago by Bill Melugin of Fox News:
BREAKING: @FoxNews has obtained intense video showing @CBP agents’ perspective inside their vehicle as it is pelted with rocks while they attempt to leave the anti-ICE protest in Paramount, CA today. That is what it is like for federal agents attempting to clean up the streets in Los Angeles at the moment.
Scenes like the one below are starting to flood out of Los Angeles:

Just a few hours before the decision was made, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made it clear that the violence against law enforcement would not be tolerated.
She posted this just a few hours ago, laying down the gauntlet to rioters:
A message to the LA rioters: you will not stop us or slow us down. @ICEgov will continue to enforce the law.
And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Here’s some of the most recent footage coming out of Los Angeles:

Many are pointing out that this is actually on the scale of an insurrection.
After all… the vast majority of the belligerents trying to go toe-to-toe with federal authorities are foreigners who infiltrated the country by illegal means!
Here’s more of the video coming out of Los Angeles:
What's happening in Los Angeles tonight is a billion times worse than January 6th. Call in the National Guard, make thousands of arrests, and hold them all with no bail until the next election. The January 6th detainees set the precedent. pic.twitter.com/O3wipqRT93

Today has been a day of tear gas and dangerous encounters with growing crowds as the riots grew in size and intensity.
Following the increase in violence — and after watching California politicians sit on their hands, even supporting the violence — Tom Homan went on Fox News to make the announcement, as reporting by Fox News:
The National Guard will be deployed to Los Angeles County after anti-ICE protests continued to escalate Saturday afternoon, Trump administration border czar Tom Homan told Fox News Saturday.
On Saturday, tear gas was deployed near Home Depot in Paramount, California, where ICE agents were allegedly conducting a raid.
Following the raid, a violent protest broke out and several arrests were made for assault on a federal agent.
In an interview with Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show,” Homan said authorities are “stepping up” and “mobiliz[ing] to address violence and destruction occurring near raid locations where demonstrators are gathering.
“American people, this is about enforcing the law, and again, we’re not going to apologize for doing it,” Homan said.
That no-nonsense unapologetic approach is exactly what we need right now.
The law is the law — and violence against law enforcement on ANY scale should never be tolerated.
But this level of violence warrants the strongest response necessary to put it down.
Here’s a clip of Homan’s appearance on Fox News:

Calls for just this sort of response started ramping up today as scenes like this started getting more and more frequent:
Send in the National Guard.
Right this instant.
Federalize it if Newsom does not do his job.

Unbelievable scenes of rioters disrupting traffic, even using their bodies to dangerously impede the forward progress of ICE and federal vehicles working to round up illegals has become normal in LA:

Tear gas was reportedly used in at the Home Deport mentioned in that video clip.
The Trump Administration has had especially harsh words for LA Mayor Karen Bass following her complete inaction as the violence has intensified, according to the New York Post:
Protests over federal immigration raids continued to wreak havoc on Los Angeles Saturday with agents wearing riot gear reportedly using flash-bang grenades to clear crowds — as the federal government moves to mobilize the National Guard after claiming the LAPD didn’t respond for two hours.
“We’re going to bring the National Guard in tonight. We’re going to continue doing out job. We’re going to push back on these people and we’re going to enforce the law,” Tom Homan, Acting Director of US Immigration and Custom Enforcement, said on Fox News, Saturday.
Images and video showed a chaotic scene on Saturday as hundreds of protestors filled the streets and clashed with federal agents in riot gear attempting to impede apprehensions by Border Patrol in Paramount, California, near a Home Depot.
ADVERTISEMENTThe dystopian scene showed the heavily armored agents firing teargas cannisters in order to disperse demonstrators who raged for hours on Saturday in a messy and tumultuous street takeover.
One violent protestor in a face-covering helmet hurled rocks at the windows of cars right outside the super store — cracking some Border Patrol pick-up trucks in the windshield, according to viral video.
The Trump Administration ripped lefty Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass after a violent mob swarmed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers conducting immigration raids in the city — while the Department of Homeland Security claimed Saturday local cops waited two hours to help push back the agitators. Multiple videos have also surfaced like this one, showing rioters burning the American flag while waving Mexican flags:

Meanwhile, Mayor Karen Bass is claiming that ILLEGALS are her focus.
And her intention is to FIGHT to keep ICE from rounding them up and deporting those who broke the law to come here illegally:

With violence reaching peak levels not only in Los Angeles, but also in New York, I am waiting to hear similar news impacting New York City.
This is a developing story. We will bring you updates as they become available.
