In a Fox News interview, Vice President J.D. Vance said the conflict between India and Pakistan is “fundamentally none of our business.”
“We want this thing to deescalate as quickly as possible. We can’t control these countries though,” Vance said.
“Fundamentally, India has its gripes with Pakistan. Pakistan has responded to India. What we can do is try to encourage these folks to deescalate a little bit,” he continued.
“We’re not going to get involved in the middle of war that’s fundamentally none of our business,” he added.

From The Economic Times:
India confirmed that Pakistan’s attempt to strike 15 cities across northern and western parts of the subcontinent in the wee hours of Thursday failed, as Indian air defence systems neutralised the incoming threats.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday night, firmly stating that India will respond decisively to any escalation attempts by Pakistan.
“Spoke with US @SecRubio this evening. Deeply appreciate US commitment to work with India in the fight against terrorism,” Jaishankar posted on social media following the conversation.
Underlined India’s targeted and measured response to cross-border terrorism. Will firmly counter any attempts at escalation,” he added.
US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said Secretary Rubio stressed the importance of avoiding further conflict. “He expressed US support for direct dialogue between India and Pakistan and encouraged continued efforts to improve communications,” Bruce said.
She also confirmed that Rubio conveyed condolences over the Pahalgam terror attack and reiterated the US’s commitment to counter-terrorism cooperation with India.
According to reports, India launched missiles across the border into parts of Pakistan and Pakistani-controlled territory early Wednesday.
India said it targeted infrastructure used by militants, responding to an attack in the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir that killed 26 people.

This is a Guest Post from our friends over at 100 Percent Fed Up. View the original article here.India has accused Pakistan of attacking three of its military bases with drones and missiles, a claim which has been denied by Islamabad.
The Indian Army said it had foiled Pakistan's attempts to attack its bases in Jammu and Udhampur, in Indian-administered Kashmir, and Pathankot, in India's Punjab state.
Blasts were reported on Thursday evening in Jammu city in Indian-administered Kashmir as the region went into a blackout.
Pakistan's defence minister told the BBC they were not behind the attack.
"We deny it, we have not mounted anything so far," Khawaja Asif told the BBC, adding: "We will not strike and then deny".
ADVERTISEMENTEarlier on Thursday, India said it had struck Pakistan's air defences and "neutralised" Islamabad's attempts to hit military targets in India on Wednesday night.
Pakistan called that action another "act of aggression", following Indian missile strikes on Wednesday on targets in Pakistan and Pakistani-administered Kashmir.
India's strikes on Wednesday sparked a chorus of calls for de-escalation from the international community with the UN and world leaders calling for calm.
The attacks and incidents of shelling along the border have fanned fears of wider conflict erupting between the nuclear-armed states.
It is being viewed as the worst confrontation between the two countries in more than two decades.
