Taking out threats, winning wars, creating true deterrence is in.

That’s the message Secretary of Defense Hegseth came to Florida with for his keynote speech to the U.S. Special Operations Forces yesterday.

That means the MERITOCRACY is back in the U.S. military — and that’s bad news for America’s enemies.

It means skilled, capable, highly trained warfighters will be fully prepared to address whatever threats may pop up — as opposed to worrying which petticoat to wear to the Officer’s Mess Hall.  (I don’t have a clue what a petticoat is, for the record.)

It’s also bad news for those still suffering from that ‘woke mind virus’ within the ranks of America’s fighting forces, and particularly those trying to push cultural agendas inside the SOF community.

Hegseth spelled it out in this clip, preferring warriors who look like trained killers ready to go to war — not sissy boys playing dress-up to satiate their twisted fantasies:

Pronouns?  Nope.

Dudes in dresses?  Not a chance — not in THIS army.

Hegseth gave a speech that had America’s top tier warriors celebrating.

He put a final nail in the coffin of DEI BS and ANYTHING that doesn’t equate to submitting America’s enemies beneath our military might.

We’re done with that sh*t.  After four years of complete nonsense…

His speech came on the heels of the Supreme Court ruling in favor of the legality of the Trump Administration’s roll back of transgenders in America’s fighting force, according to a report on SkyNews:

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has sent a brutal message to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hires in the military.

The message came at Secretary Hegseth’s Keynote Address at Special Operations Forces Week.

During the keynote address, Hegseth declared the military and Trump administration were now leaving “wokeness and weakness” behind.

Hegseth proudly declared there will be “no more pronouns” or climate change obsession, “no more vaccine mandates” or “dudes in dresses”.

“We’re done with that shit,” Hegseth said.

Hegseth’s remark follows the Supreme Court’s ruling that allows the Trump administration to enforce a ban on transgender people in the military.

The executive order was previously issued in January, as soon as US President Donald Trump took office, aiming to remove transgender troops from military ranks.

But Hegseth didn’t just spend the entire time harping on the obvious.

He made it very clear that defending the homeland is his top priority above all else.

Imagine that — American leadership concerned primarily, first and foremost, with protecting Americans and the American homeland?

Is that even possible?

Are we even allowed to think like that anymore?

Looking back with hindsight, it’s amazing how far off course the country really got in just four years of nonsense.

It was rather fitting that the Sec. of Defense made this speech, with this emphasis, to the Special Operations Forces in particular.

They are truly the tip of the spear of American military might, representing the pinnacle of American leadership and capability on the battlefield.

Hegseth took the opportunity to openly remind China that we aren’t the same nation they were dealing with for the last 4 years, as reported by the Washington Times:

Elite special operations forces are a core component of the nation’s ability to project power abroad and protect itself at home, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a fiery speech Tuesday as he decried the “wokeness and weakness” that he said is being eliminated from the military under President Trump.

In a speech to the Special Operations Forces Week 2025 conference here, Mr. Hegseth said the work of special operations personnel — such as the Army Rangers, Green Berets, Navy SEALs and Delta Force — is more important than ever, from direct counterterrorism missions to behind-the-scenes work building partnerships in countries across the globe. SOF is also vital, he said, to demonstrate to an adversary such as China that it should not test the U.S.

“When our opponents know our military is armed with the most capable weapons systems known to man, wielded by skilled warriors with the will to prevail, they are less likely to challenge us on the battlefield. And that is the point,” Mr. Hegseth said in his keynote speech.

“Under the leadership of President Trump, the message to our adversaries has been undeniably clear: America is back,” he said. “And SOF amplifies this message and carries it to all of the far-flung corners of the world. It’s a pivotal mission that is laser-focused on war fighting.”

The secretary stressed that homeland defense is his No. 1 priority, and he gave a nod to the ambitious Golden Dome missile shield that Mr. Trump has pledged to build to protect the U.S. from ballistic and hypersonic missile threats from China, Iran, North Korea, Russia and other adversaries.

“Golden Dome for America is a part of that,” Mr. Hegseth said, referring to the broader mission to safeguard the homeland.

Hegseth also laid out his three primary objectives in keeping with President Trump’s guidance:

  1. Restore the warrior ethos
  2. Rebuild our military
  3. Re-establish deterrence

Unlike Biden’s average military leader, all the way up to the Secretary of Defense, Hegseth didn’t bring any excuses.

He brought what every American warrior needed — a commitment to the warrior ethos, and a mindset that’s ready to work whatever problem might be ahead, and conquer it.

He also managed to push the “never quit” mentality, and emphasized the team-nature — rather than a self-centered focus — according to the local Fox Affiliate in Tampa where the Special Operations Forces week was being held:

During his speech, he touted President Donald Trump’s leadership and “America First” agenda. He also praised the efforts of special operations leaders.

“No one brings easy problems to the Oval Office,” Hegseth said. “But SOF brings solutions.”

Another key point in Hegseth’s speech was a renewed emphasis on the “Warrior Ethos,” which stresses never quitting, accepting defeat or leaving a fallen comrade.

“We don’t fight because we hate what’s in front of us. We fight because we love what’s behind us,” Hegseth said.

Some might not see the connection between trashing the DEI nonsense, and emphasizing that America’s warriors fight for what they love behind them, rather than what they might hate, in front.

But, I do.

That ‘woke mind virus’ that ultimately gives you nonsense like DEI is so self-centered that it’s probably not too far off to call it DEMONIC.

On the other hand, the true warrior ethos doesn’t create a fighting force bent on destroying an enemy nearly as much as it does one that is HELL BENT on protecting those it loves.

That ‘woke mind virus’, and the DEI mindset that stems from it, doesn’t love ANYTHING as much as it loves SELF.

That’s not the American military I know, or grew up admiring.

But it darn sure is the military I see being rebuilt, outfitted, and made ready for battle under the leadership of Pete Hegseth, and Commander-in-Chief Trump.

Gone is the focus on SELF; except if you’re talking about SACRIFICING ‘self’ on behalf of your brothers and your country.

Yep… that SELF-FOCUSED mindset is over with.

Because we’re done with that sh*t — and praise God for it.
