It’s impossible to predict what might happen on live TV, as Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy recently found out during a segment of the morning news talk show.
While broadcasting from the White House on Friday, viewers could see a bird swoop down and apparently mistake Doocy’s coiffed hair for a nest.
As The Hill reported:
“A bird just landed on my head!” Doocy screamed as he cowered out of the picture, his eyes darting around him in all directions.
ADVERTISEMENT“Fox and Friends” hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Lawrence Jones and Brian Kilmeade laughed as a startled Doocy attempted to gather himself and stood upright.
“I did not like that at all,” Doocy laughed as he continued to look around for the bird, which had quickly fled after its brief and uninvited appearance on national television.
“The hair on the back of your head is standing up,” Kilmeade ribbed Doocy. “What’s going on?”
“That’s probably so … dirty,” Doocy smiled.
The moment evoked some laughter from his colleagues and plenty of social media reaction:

The New York Post labeled the encounter an attack:
The president’s residence is the Animal House now.
ADVERTISEMENTWhite House journalists dodged birds and rodents Friday at the end of a tumultuous week defined by President Trump’s “reciprocal” trade war.
Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy started his day waving his hands — but not to get a presidential question — when he was mistaken for a tree by a large pigeon.
Doocy, 37, was live on “Fox & Friends” around 7 a.m. when the bird tried to roost in his well-combed blond hair.
Here’s a longer clip of the incident:
