‘You F***ed Me’: Clooney Reportedly Rages At MSNBC Producer Over ‘Morning Joe’ Co-Host’s Remarks

Although undeniable concerns about Joe Biden’s cognitive health had been growing even among Democrats for months at the time, an op-ed by actor George Clooney was widely seen as the proverbial final nail in Biden’s political coffin.

Mainstream media figures responded to the news in a variety of ways, including MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski’s assessment that Barack Obama “had a lot of influence” in the process.

The on-air comment reportedly infuriated Clooney, according to a passage in one recent tell-all book.

As the New York Post reported:

“How the f–k could you let her link me with Barack Obama saying he made me write the op-ed?” Clooney shouted after he called the producer at left-leaning MSNBC, according to Chris Whipple’s new book, “Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History.”

The left-wing A-lister became one of the first to call for Biden to bow out of the presidential race with a shocking New York Times editorial published in July 2024, just weeks after the disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump.

But when Brzezinski — who co-hosts the morning show with husband Joe Scarborough — insinuated that Obama was actually behind the editorial heard ’round the world, Clooney allegedly lost his cool.

The producer denied involvement in Brzezinski’s comments, but Clooney reportedly screamed back, “You f–ked me! … You’re my friend. You should have stood up for me.”

Clooney’s op-ed received significant attention during a pivotal time in the 2024 presidential campaign:

The Daily Mail also reported on the recent book’s claims:

After being berated by Clooney, the producer reportedly shot back: ‘George, this is not a f***ing movie.

‘There’s no script. It’s just not a movie where you go script page to script page.’

‘F*** you!’ Clooney responded, according to the book, to which the producer told the actor to ‘f*** yourself.’

Their hostile exchange reportedly continued in multiple phone calls across several hours, and at one point the producer told Clooney he couldn’t control what hosts say all the time.

‘This is a morning talk show on a cable channel. Nobody gives a f*** if we say he should get out or if he should stay in,’ they said.

‘Nobody f***ing cares. It’s skywriting. It’s f***ing gone. George, I told you before, we’ll try and take care of it tomorrow morning. I promise you.’

When Clooney said he no longer knew if he could ‘trust’ the producer, he was told: ‘Well, f*** you. If you don’t trust me, stop f***ing calling me.’
