Per The Weather Channel:
At least seven people are dead amid a relentless tornado outbreak in the South and Midwest.
Rescuers continue to search through rubble and in communities left in chaos.
What began as an already dangerous situation on Wednesday has escalated, with multiple destructive tornadoes – some potentially rated EF3 or stronger – shredding homes, knocking out power, forcing road closures and leaving some neighborhoods unrecognizable.
As the tornado threat continues, a new danger is emerging: potentially catastrophic flooding. Heavy rain is likely to turn streets into rivers and make travel impossible in some of the already hard-hit areas.
