The (so-called) journalist who hit President Trump in the face with a boom mic has allegedly been identified.
According to Laura Loomer, who did some digging, it was newly-appointed NPR White House Correspondent Danielle Kurtzleben.
Laura Loomer posted this on X this morning:

Full text of Loomer’s post:
I have identified the reporter who hit President Donald Trump in the face with a boom mic this week while he was speaking to the press on the tarmac.
Her name is Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka. She is the newly appointed White House reporter for NPR and a massive Trump hater and LGBTQ advocate who once suggested during the 2024 campaign that Trump only spoke in Howell, Michigan because it has ties to the KKK.
Did she hit President Trump in the face on purpose?
Here’s Kurtzleben’s bio from the NPR website:
Danielle Kurtzleben is a political correspondent assigned to NPR’s Washington Desk. She appears on NPR shows, writes for the web, and is a regular on The NPR Politics Podcast. She is covering the 2024 presidential election, with particular focuses on on economic policy and gender politics.
Before joining NPR in 2015, Kurtzleben spent a year as a correspondent for Vox.com. As part of the site’s original reporting team, she covered economics and business news.
Prior to Vox.com, Kurtzleben was with U.S. News & World Report for nearly four years, where she covered the economy, campaign finance and demographic issues. As associate editor, she launched Data Mine, a data visualization blog on usnews.com.
A native of Titonka, Iowa, Kurtzleben has a bachelor’s degree in English from Carleton College. She also holds a master’s degree in global communication from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
Many claim this woman is a notorious TDS-infected far-leftist.
How on Earth did @NPR reporter Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka get approved to be a White House pool reporter?
She has a well documented history of being a massive Trump hater and advocate of Trans issues.
I don’t think the mic in Trump’s face was an accident. pic.twitter.com/SvDRp3JrRj

Loomer brought the receipts, as always:
As I exclusively reported this morning, this is the @NPR reporter who hit President Trump in the face with a boom mic, @titonka.
I think she hit Trump in the face on purpose.
She has previously accused Trump of being pro KKK, and compared his speeches to those of Hitler. pic.twitter.com/yyMWrVpcrn

Here’s the video in which she said Trump may have only chosen to speak in Howell, MI because it is a site common with the KKK and White Supremacists.
Why did the White House allow this woman to get so close to President Trump with a microphone that could be used as a weapon? pic.twitter.com/zqoezDomu4

Since becoming the new @NPR White House reporter, Danielle Kurtzleben has been very focused on reaching out to trans, nonbinary, and intersex federal workers who have been negatively impacted by the Trump admin Executive Orders.

.@NPR White House Correspondent Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka, the woman who hit President Trump in the face with a boom microphone is definitely a Democrat and Kamala Harris supporter.

Since Loomer broke the story, Kurtzleben has locked down her X account:
While we cannot independently verify with 100% certainty that Ms. Kurtzleben was the woman behind the “accident,” we can say that whoever it was should be banned from the press pool.
Or, perhaps fired altogether.
That goes for anyone who is hitting the sitting president in the face with a microphone.
Despite President Trump’s chill reaction, this is a serious security risk.
Wow. Another scoop from the hardworking @lauraloomer.
NPR should reassign Kurtzleben. If they refuse, they should be barred from the WH pool. She should be nowhere near the president. Zero excuse for that assault.
She’s just lucky Donald Trump is such a cool customer. Bizarro… https://t.co/sTH58rbiMZ— Miranda Devine (@mirandadevine) March 16, 2025
She should never be allowed to be near Trump again.

By the way, did you know that this is the first time in American history that has happened?
Grok confirmed:
“Has any previous president before Trump been hit in the face with a Press Mic?”

Historical records do not indicate similar incidents of a microphone hitting a president in the face, making this a notable exception.pic.twitter.com/YMjZjAayGA— cagrown5 (@cagrown5) March 15, 2025
