Watch: Charlamagne Tha God Bluntly Explains Why He Has ‘No Problem With ICE Doing Their Job’

Known for his willingness to challenge the left’s orthodoxy while on the air, popular “Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne Tha God continued that trend this week by defending the Trump administration’s effort to deport illegal immigrants.

He was engaged in a discussion with journalist Morgyn Wood, who pushed back against the host’s stance on the topic.

As the Daily Caller reported:

“I mean, if they’re illegals that commit crimes, I have no problem with ICE doing their job — if they’re illegals that are committing crimes,” Charlamagne said.

Wood asked Charlamagne if he was specifically referring to “violent offenders” or illegal immigrants generally.

“If they’re here illegally, they’re here illegally … Here’s the thing: we’re acting like this hasn’t happened in America before,” Charlamagne responded.

“We’re acting like the system isn’t backed up. I mean, it could be — you could be a citizen and the system is backed up,” Wood retorted.

Charlamagne called out the journalist for switching from discussing illegal immigrants to citizens, which she acknowledged was true.

“So you’re conflating the two. If you’re a citizen, you’re a citizen,” he said. “If you’re here illegally, you’re here illegally. I don’t know what to tell people.”

Charlamagne later noted that former President Barack Obama was known for deporting numerous illegal immigrants during his time in office.

It’s becoming clear that Trump’s immigration policies are not only effective at stemming the migrant flow but are also widely popular among the American people:

The New York Post recently reported on the efficacy of Trump’s immigration policy:

Each day, border agents are spotting an average of 77 illegal migrant “gotaways,” according to Fox News. Border Patrol agents use surveillance cameras or other surveillance methods to track such crossings.

During the height of the border crisis under the Biden administration, an average of more than 1,800 illegal migrant gotaways were recorded sneaking through each day.

That marks a 95% drop.

Between October 2022 and September 2023, more than 670,000 illegal migrant gotaways were known to have made it across the border without getting collared.

Here’s a clip from the recent episode of “The Breakfast Club”:
