Vice President Vance Eviscerates Media For Running Inaccurate Story Based On Claims Of ‘Random Staffer’

As much as leftists complain about supposed “misinformation” among conservatives, it is consistently the mainstream media that relies on poorly sourced claims and innuendo to fuel their politically biased agenda.

For his part, Vice President JD Vance has clearly had enough of the practice and called out The New York Times and others who jumped at the chance to report alleged dissension within President Donald Trump’s inner circle.

During a recent interview with Fox News Channel’s Laura Ingraham, he shared his thoughts about one recent article in particular, per the Daily Caller:

A report from The New York Times said that Rubio and Duffy clashed with Musk after the billionaire allegedly criticized the lack of cuts to staff and supplies at both agencies.

“We’re not going to have an administration where you have a president who sits there at cabinet meetings asleep while his wife runs the cabinet meeting and nobody’s doing anything. We’re going to talk about issues,” Vance said. “It does annoy me that that leaked. I will say that story wasn’t totally true, to be clear.”

“We need to have conversations. We need to be able to talk to one another and solve this stuff without some random staffer leaking it,” Vance said. “I suspect that’s what happened. We’re going to keep on doing the president’s business because it’s the American people’s business.”

Since reports surfaced alleging tensions between Trump’s cabinet members and Musk, the president dismissed a reporter on March 6 who asked about the claims. Democrats have strongly pushed back against Musk since his involvement with Trump’s campaign, escalating their criticism after he announced on Feb. 22 that Trump agreed to upend U.S. Aid for International Development.

Rumors of a brewing feud sparked significant social media discussion in recent weeks:

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick similarly dismissed the rumors in his own on-air conversation with Ingraham:

Vance also used the recent opportunity to recap some of the Trump administration’s massive immigration agenda wins, as Fox News reported:

He praised Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem for her public information campaign calling on illegal migrants to self-deport and “border czar” Tom Homan for repurposing the CBP One app to meet Trump’s immigration goals.

“Do you remember that? It actually facilitated illegal entry under the Biden administration,” Vance said.

“We’re repurposing it to facilitate self-deportation. So what we’re going to encourage a lot of people to do is we don’t have to come and knock on your door and send you home. We’re going to do that, of course. But before that happens, why don’t you get on a plane and go home yourself? So it’s an all-of-the-above approach. We’re going to use everything that we can.”
