The View Host Apologizes After Falsely Calling Elon Musk “Pro-Apartheid”

The View co-host Joy Behar issued an apology to Elon Musk during the show today, after previously calling him “pro-apartheid.”

Earlier in the show, Behar went on a bizarre rant against Elon Musk.

“The guy was not born in this country,” Behar said of Elon Musk, “who was born under apartheid in South Africa.”

She went on to refer to Musk as a “foreigner” and a “foreign agent” before claiming, “So, has that mentality going on. He was pro-apartheid, as I understand it.”

What a disgusting, baseless, and fake accusation.

Really, how shameless can you be?

Sounds a whole lot like slander. Could be grounds for a defamation suit.

And The View‘s legal team must have known that, too, because after the show came back from a commercial break, Behar was quick to attempt to take her words back.

“Now I’m getting some flack because I said that Musk was pro-apartheid. I don’t really know for sure if he was,” she admitted, going on to plead,

“Don’t be suing me, okay Elon?”

What a sincere apology…

Watch for yourself here:

It’s ironic, isn’t it?

Deranged liberals like Joy Behar suddenly flipping to become anti-immigration as soon as it’s about Elon Musk.

Brandon Tatum shared some thoughts:

Not only is Behar slandering Elon Musk here, but she’s straight-up lying.

In reality, Elon Musk participated in anti-apartheid events and was barely an adult when apartheid ended in South Africa.

The Daily Caller noted:

“The View” co-host Joy Behar had to walk back her baseless accusation Thursday that Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) overseer Elon Musk supported apartheid when he lived in South Africa as a child.

Behar adamantly argued that Musk was “pro-apartheid” and still currently has that “mentality,” though she provided no evidence of that being the case. In fact, Musk attended an anti-apartheid concert that opposed the racial system, according to an excerpt of Walter Isaacson’s book, “Elon Musk.”

“[Musk] kisses [President Donald Trump’s] butt and strokes his tiny ego, a big ego, whatever it is. And he can take a nap while the guy [who] was not born in this country, who was born under apartheid in South Africa, so he has that mentality going on. He was pro-apartheid as I understand it,” Behar said.

“I was just gonna say that now I’m getting some flack because I said that Musk was pro-apartheid,” Behar said. “I don’t really know for sure if he was. He grew up at that time when apartheid was in full blown before the great [former South African President] Nelson Mandala fixed that. [Musk] was around at that time, but maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. He might have been a young guy, too. So, don’t be suing me, okay, Elon? They’re allowed to say any lie they want but we have to be really strict, that’s why this show’s important.”

Musk was born in South Africa in June 1971, making him nearly 19 years old when apartheid ended in May 1990. He moved to the U.S. in 1992 to attend Stanford University and became a U.S. citizen in 2002.

Apology or no apology, the American people are sick of hearing these lies.

Many folks think Elon Musk should sue anyways.

I know one thing.

Elon Musk may have been foreign-born but he’s more of a true American than Joy Behar will ever be.
