Check out what the New York Post reported:

President Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron shared a firm and lengthy handshake outside the Oval Office on Monday ahead of a bilateral meeting expected to be dominated by Russia’s war on Ukraine.

After the initial grip-and-grin, accompanied by mutual pats on the shoulder, the American president pulled his French counterpart close in to continue the greeting. Trump and Macron then waved to the assembled media and shared a few words before ducking inside the West Wing.

Per CNN:

US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron are holding a joint news conference Monday after their bilateral meeting earlier this afternoon in the Oval Office.

The two leaders also participated in a call with G7 summit leaders.

Macron’s visit to the White House today comes on the third year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. European leaders are rushing to try to reclaim a central role for themselves and for Ukraine after they were cut out of US-Russia talks on ending the war.
