Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh announced that an unspecified number of U.S. troops have been given orders to prepare for deployment to the Middle East.
Singh shared, “Secretary Austin increased the readiness of additional US forces to deploy, elevating our preparedness to respond to various contingencies.”
“I’m just not going to get into specifics for [operational security] reasons, but these forces cover a wide range of capabilities and missions,” added Singh.
The announcement by the Pentagon comes as Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel.

Check out what CNN reported:
An unspecified number of troops in the US have been put on prepare to deploy orders, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said on Monday.
“Secretary Austin increased the readiness of additional US forces to deploy, elevating our preparedness to respond to various contingencies,” she said. “I’m just not going to get into specifics for [operational security] reasons, but these forces cover a wide range of capabilities and missions.”
Singh also said that additional air defense support going to the region, announced by the Pentagon on Sunday, are units previously scheduled to deploy that will now be joining units already there instead of replacing them. The reinforcement of air support capabilities, she said, includes “a certain number of units already deployed to the Middle East region that will be extended, and the forces due to rotate into theater to replace them will now instead augment the in-place forces already in the region.” It will include “an additional few thousand” service members in the region, she said.
“I can tell you these augmented forces include F-16, F-15E, A-10, F-22 fighter aircraft and associated personnel,” Singh said.
The increased presence will come from multiple fighter jet squadrons, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters.

Per The DoD:
DEPUTY PRESS SECRETARY SABRINA SINGH: All right. Good morning, everyone. I do have quite a bit at the top, so bear with me and then happy to jump in and take questions. The Department continues to monitor the situation in the Middle East. Secretary Austin has been receiving updates from and providing guidance to his team on the latest developments in the region.
He and Department leaders remain focused on the protection of U.S. citizens and forces in the region, the defense of Israel and the de-escalation of the situation through deterrence and diplomacy. To that end, as we highlighted in our statement over the weekend, the DOD has taken steps to further enhance the defense posture of US forces in the Middle East region to deter aggression and reduce the risk of a broader regional war.
This includes Secretary Austin’s direction for the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike Group to remain in the CENTCOM AOR, as well as the reinforcement of our defensive air support capabilities. This includes a certain number of units already deployed to the Middle East region that will be extended, and the forces due to rotate into theater to replace them will now instead augment the in-place forces already in the region.
Again, I won’t talk specific timelines or numbers for OpSec reasons, but I can tell you these augmented forces include F-16, F-15e, A-10, F-22 fighter aircraft and associated personnel. The Secretary also increased the readiness of additional US forces to deploy, elevating our preparedness to respond to various contingencies and DOD maintains robust and integrated air defense capabilities across the Middle East region, ensuring the protection of US forces operating in the region.

Why Have ALL 50 States Deployed National Guard Units Overseas?
You learn something new every day…
Until recently, I thought the National Guard was strictly a domestic operation designed to protect people here at home.
While the Army, Navy and Air Force were designed to protect us in international conflict, I was always under the impression that the purpose of the National Guard was to make sure we had sufficient protections and help back here at home, if our military was deployed elsewhere.
I was shocked to learn that is NOT the case.
In fact, all 50 states have deployed troops overseas just within the last 4 years, with many currently deployed as we speak!

When I pressed ChatGPT on the primary mission for the Guard, it admitted the primary mission was to protect the homeland and respond to domestic emergencies, but we have clearly strayed far from that stated mission:
Yes, the National Guard’s primary mission is to protect the homeland and respond to domestic emergencies, disasters, and other critical needs within the United States. This mission stems from the historical roots of the National Guard as a state-based militia, designed to assist governors in managing state emergencies, such as hurricanes, floods, fires, civil disturbances, and more.
The National Guard operates under a dual state and federal mission, meaning that while it is primarily designed to protect the interests of individual states and respond to domestic crises, it can also be federalized by the President to support broader national defense missions. When activated for federal service, the National Guard is deployed alongside the active-duty military to support U.S. interests abroad, contributing to global operations such as combat missions, peacekeeping, and humanitarian aid. This flexibility is part of the Guard’s unique role in the U.S. military structure.
While the National Guard is crucial for domestic operations, global deployments allow the Guard to support U.S. national security interests by participating in international operations and defense collaborations, often in partnership with NATO and other allies. These missions enhance the Guard’s readiness, provide vital training, and contribute to global stability, which in turn helps safeguard the U.S. at home by addressing threats abroad before they reach American shores.
Did you know this was happening?
Folks, fixing this Country isn’t all that hard…you start with absolute NONSENSE like this….
The freaking NATIONAL Guard of Alabama does not need to be patrolling the “Horn of Africa” whatever the hell that even means!
There are literally only two words in the name: NATIONAL-GUARD
In other words, Guard OUR Nation!
And they have completely screwed that up!
Sorry folks, this really fires me up….I am so sick of paying sky high taxes so that we can send the fucking Alabama National Guard to go patrol the “Horn of Africa”!
Seriously, are you kidding me with this?
Is someone pranking me on hidden camera?
This.
Is.
INSANE!
America is not the policeman of the world.
Every single last troop and dollar of the National Guard that is deployed one inch beyond our physical borders should be recalled immediately and those expenses instantly slashed from all budgets.
What the hell is wrong with our leaders?
Spending our tax dollars to send the Alabama National Guard to go patrol the Horn of Africa?
This is insane!
Either our leaders are completely asleep at the wheel or they are corrupt.
My money is on the latter.
