President Trump: “OFF THE CUFF”, Frenemies, and the “D” Word

President Trump should stop being Trump.

That is the message his “allies” have been sending.

There’s a lot of unsolicited advice coming his way at the moment, actually.

“Can’t win”, says former presidential candidate, Nikki Haley.

“Size doesn’t matter”, says former Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy.

Ok… he didn’t actually say that, exactly. I paraphrased.  See for yourself:

More on Pres. Trump’s “frenemies” in a moment.  (And we’ll get to the Nikki Haley video…)

But first, let’s change gears.

Fox News asked President Trump’s own VP pick about those calling for Trump to change his ways:

While criticizing Harris over key issues such as border security, crime and inflation, Trump has also continuously slammed the vice president and insulted her during speeches, news conferences and in social media posts.

Sources in Trump’s political orbit tell Fox News that top advisers to the former president are quietly aiming to persuade him to tamp down the insults to Harris and the questioning of the vice president’s racial identity and instead focus on branding her an ultra-liberal and spotlighting her stance on the border, crime and inflation.

And what do you suppose JD Vance had to say?

“I think one of the things people actually love about Donald Trump in politics is he’s not unwilling to speak off the cuff. He says what’s actually on his mind. He’s not always filtered. I think that’s a good thing and part of his appeal.”

But Vance, speaking ahead of a campaign event in battleground Michigan, also emphasized that “if you look at this race, we’re talking about policy. That’s 90% of what we’re doing. And I think that’s going to keep on happening.”

Okay – let’s get back to that Nikki Haley video making the rounds on Twitter.

Did she really say he couldn’t win if he didn’t change his tune???

Judge for yourself:

Alright.  What do YOU think?

Does she have a point?

Is Donald J. Trump being reckless by being blunt, honest, and himself?

I’m itching to throw in my proverbial two cents and tell you what I think.

But what about the anti-Trump progressives?  What do they think?

“Trump is the same guy he’s always been. Yet, Republicans still think he’s capable of being someone else entirely.”

That is a quote from Chris Hayes, from an MSNBC article adapted from the show “All In With Chris Hayes”.

Chris later added:

“I’ll say this for Trump: He has more awareness about himself than a shocking number of people in Republican politics. He won’t change.”

I hate to say I agree with Chris Hayes…

But President Trump has a few frenemies who might prove to be better friends if they understood that simple truth about Trump.

He is who he is.  And that’s exactly why we like him.

One more JD Vance quote from our friends at Fox News.

And then I’ll play my own hand.

“We’d much rather have an American president who is who he is, who’s willing to offend us, who’s willing to tell us the truth, who isn’t a fake who hides behind a teleprompter.” -JD Vance

So here it is.  President Trump in his own words just the other day.

The much-hated, much-loved interview with Elon Musk on his X platform.

Incase you missed it, he said, “…she’s not smart”.

And if you think that was just a once and done thing…

“Not smart enough…”  (Again, incase you missed it.)

And finally, I give you the proof.

Nikki Haley was not lying.

President Trump has indeed used the “D” word to describe Kamala Harris.

So here’s where I play my hand.

Bear with me.  And please drop me a comment with your thoughts!

I would like to suggest there is something they’re all missing.

All these frenemies who are pushing President Trump to be less “Trump”.

Nikki Haley is right.

The American people ARE smart.

We’re tired of pretending a spade is not a spade.

And we’re tired of politicians who are politically afraid of their own shadow.

The fact is – a lot of what Kamala Harris has done…

Is dumb.

It looks dumb when she does it.

It sounds dumb when she says it.

And it holds up under scrutiny over time, as DUMB.

Maybe, just maybe, the “political” thing to do is avoid calling your opponent “dumb”.

But another word for “dumb”, is inept.

And we have seen enough failed progressive so-called “leadership”…

To know it’s NOTHING if it isn’t INEPT.

And that means… dumb.

Are we really going to argue about this?

We have a Presidential candidate willing to call a spade, a spade!

Isn’t that a good thing!?

Regardless of what President Trump’s frenemies may say…

JD Vance is 100% correct.

Americans love President Trump because he shoots straight from the hip.

And maybe not every career politician can get away with throwing around the “D” word.

But that is probably one of many reasons that Donald J. Trump is the Republican nominee for President, rather than some career politician.

Again – please drop your comments below!

I would appreciate knowing what my readers think!

And for those needing more proof of President Trump’s stance on Kamala Harris, this should clear things up:
