Alina Habba has had a busy schedule as of late defending Trump and some of his associates from charges brought against him and his businesses.
But it seems now she may be reducing her workload a bit.
In a court filing dated April 7th, it was revealed that Habba will be stepping aside as the attorney representing Allen Weisselberg, former CFO of the Trump Organization, in his ongoing legal case.

Habba has been replaced by Armen Morian, whom Habba called a “dear friend”.
Morian also has a longstanding relationship with President Trump.
It appears that this was merely a choice by Weisselberg to change his representation, with no signs of animosity from either side as of right now.
The increasing role Habba has been serving as an unofficial Trump spokeswoman may have had something to do with the decision. Weisselberg may simply want someone on his team who has more time to dedicate to his case.
Weisselberg’s now-former attorney has made several media appearances recently commenting on Trump’s legal cases.

Alina Habba has been replaced by her “dear friend” Armen Morian as the attorney representing Allen Weisselberg, a former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, in an ongoing legal case, according to an April 7 court filing.
In recent times Habba has emerged as a prominent Trump associate, representing the former president in a number of his legal cases and becoming a regular at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Morian is another longstanding Trump associate.
In March Trump became the presumptive Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election following a string of GOP primary wins. This focused attention on both his policies and ongoing legal battles, with the GOP firebrand facing four criminal prosecutions—along with a number of civil cases. Trump has pled not guilty to all charges in all four of his criminal cases and denies any wrongdoing.
On April 7 Weisselberg sent a notice to change attorneys form to Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over the civil fraud case brought against Trump and a number of his associates by New York Attorney General Letitia Jones.
