WATCH: Lindsey Graham Booed At Trump’s Victory Speech…But Then, He Rallies Up The Crowd

Perhaps deservingly, Lindsey Graham was initially booed as Trump welcomed him onstage during his South Carolina primary victory speech.

The way Trump introduced Lindsey Graham was hilarious,

“Another man — not a lot of people know him, he doesn’t do too much television. He happens to be a little bit further left than some of the people on the stage,” Trump poked fun at the South Carolina senator,

“But I always say when I’m in trouble on the left, I call up Lindsey Graham and he straightens it out so fast.”

Gotta love Trump.

But, the crowd made clear their feelings for RINO Lindsey Graham, grumbling and booing as Trump countered,

“And I’ll tell you, no, no, no, no. Remember, remember I love him. He is a good man.”

Trump then invited Lindsey up on stage as the booing grew louder.

However, as he spoke, the crowd seemed to warm up. Sen. Graham took the microphone,

“Okay. Are you ready? America, the nightmare you’re facing is just about over,” he declared,

“Help is on the way. This is the most qualified man to be president of the United States. And let it be said that South Carolina created the biggest political comeback in American history.”

Axios reported on on the crowd’s response to Lindsey Graham at Trump’s South Carolina victory speech:

en. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was booed during former President Trump’s remarks Saturday following his projected South Carolina primary victory.

The big picture: It’s not the first time the South Carolina senator, who has relatively low approval ratings in his state, has faced an unfriendly Trump crowd, particularly in his home state.

  • Graham was met with boos from the crowd while appearing on stage beside Trump in Columbia after he was projected to beat former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
  • “I love him, he’s a good man,” Trump said. “We have a highly opinionated group of people here.”
  • Graham during his brief remarks called Trump “the most qualified man to be president United States.”

Mediaite also commented:

He introduced Lindsey Graham as “a little bit further left than some people on this stage.” Loud boos broke out in the room and kept up as Trump tried to calm them down.

“No, no. Remember,” Trump said, but the boos continued. “I love him, he’s a good man. Come up here Lindsey,” Trump said.

“America, the nightmare you are facing is just about over,” Graham said, to some cheers but loud boos.
