WATCH: Michigan Town Takes The Power Back, Establishes Militia!

It is stories like this that make my heart sing; this is what it’s all about!

Many try to downplay the awesome power of community, but there is truly no substitute for doing for oneself and taking care of one another—not using the power of big government as an intermediary to ‘care’ for other people.

The Second Amendment has come under fire across the country by statists and centralists who fear the power of a well-armed populace.

Red flag laws, bans on certain firearm accessories, and the forced registration of certain firearms are all examples of this.

In no way, shape, or form is the concept of a ‘gun permit‘ ever permissible in a free society.

As a response to this constant encroachment by politicians and the courts they control, one Michigan town has decided to take the power back.

The people of Holton Township have established a militia to protect their Second Amendment rights from the political usurpers trampling on the U.S. Constitution. This is what needs to happen across the entire United States, take a look:

The Epoch Times shed light on the specific reason the people of Holton Township took action:

According to Holton Township Supervisor Alan Jager, a Republican, the political targeting could presumably occur through the unfair enforcement of Michigan’s recently passed ‘Red Flag’ law.

Under the statute, a law enforcement officer or other specified parties such as mental health professionals, family members, friends, or neighbors, could request a judge to order the confiscation of all firearms from an individual that the court finds to be a potential violent threat to others or himself.

One patriot wrote: “This is interesting. The Holton Township Board of Trustees in Michigan’s Muskegon County voted recently to declare that they are a 2nd Amendment “sanctuary” city, and have formed their own militia, with requirements to join.

I wonder what Gov Whitmer thinks of this and will do to put the “little people” in their place. I guess we’ll find out. Bravo to the Holton Township Board!”

Daily Mail provided some of the language from the recent Holton Township resolution:

‘The people of Holton Township, through their duly elected members of the Holton Township Board, hereby designate Holton Township as a Second Amendment Sanctuary in order to preserve for the people of, on and in Holton Township, the inalienable rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America,’ the resolution reads.

‘The Holton Township Board hereby declares its intent to oppose any infringement on the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.

‘We, the people of Holton Township, hereby declare our inalienable rights, our freedom and our Liberty as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.’
