Here’s A List Of RINOs Who Voted AGAINST Impeaching DHS Chief Mayorkas

The Southern border is an absolute mess right now and it isn’t even debatable.

Aside from scores of migrants inundating small, Southwestern American towns that cannot handle the influx, there is strong suspicion that terrorist cells have entered the United States via our porous border with Mexico.

Foreigners from the Middle East and China have already been apprehended at the border by DHS agents and these are simply the ones who get caught.

In response to this ongoing crisis, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced articles of impeachment against DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas.

Unfortunately, the articles of impeachment were blocked and eight Republicans voted with Democrats in blocking the measure. One user provided the update from C-Span:

“Marjorie Taylor Greene’s impeachment resolution of Mayorkas has been referred back to the Homeland Security Committee. 8 Republicans voted with Democrats for this referral. Did not vote: 12 Republicans, 12 Democrats.

The 8 Republicans who voted with the Democrats: Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., Ken Buck, R-Colo., Darrell Issa, R-Calif., Cliff Bentz, R- Ore., Tom McClintock, R-Calif., Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., John Duarte, R-Calif. Mike Turner, R-Ohio.”

Fox News provided this statement from Rep. Darrell Issa:

“We didn’t kill a Mayorkas impeachment,” Issa told Fox News Digital.

“We voted to start impeachment hearings the entire country will watch.

If we impeach Mayorkas today, Senate Democrats will feel free to reject it today.

We want hearings where Democrats are forced go on the record and finally have to defend Biden’s historic border disaster. That’s the last thing they want.”

Kyle Becker provided this quote from one House source: “Impeachment of Mayorkas is literally the lowest hanging fruit and we are fu**ing it up. Some of these people want to have endless hearings and do nothing. I can’t see how [we] can’t deliver one damn win.”

Reuters reports:

Republicans have been threatening to impeach Mayorkas for months, blaming Biden’s administration for rolling back harsh restrictions on accepting migrants and asylum seekers put in place under then-President Donald Trump, a Republican.

If the Republican-controlled House impeaches Mayorkas, he will almost certainly be found innocent after a trial in the Senate, which Democrats control by a slim margin.
