I guess we will be seeing Hunter Biden in court—literally.
Joe Biden’s son sought to skip his day in court, and, instead, attend his arraignment via a virtual hearing. On Wednesday those hopes were dashed by a federal judge.
Hunter Biden will be forced to attend his arraignment in person on September 26, 2023, at approximately 10:00 AM.
Newsmax reports: “Magistrate Judge Christopher J. Burke denied Wednesday a request from Hunter Biden’s legal team that he appear virtually for his arraignment on felony gun charges.”

You can read Judge Christopher J. Burke’s full ruling below.
Daily Wire reports:
Burke gave multiple reasons for denying, including that the Court believes the appearance in important because its one of the few times that the defendant will physically be in the courtroom and the setting “helps to emphasize the ‘integrity and solemnity of a federal criminal proceeding.’”
“The ruling came after special counsel David Weiss’ office argued that the president’s son shouldn’t get special treatment,” NBC News claimed.

Newsmax added:
Abbe Lowell, Biden’s attorney, had argued Tuesday that Biden was not seeking “special treatment” and that a virtual appearance would minimize unnecessary burdens on the government and local area.
In addition, Lowell said that Biden was still acting per the controversial plea deal since contested by the judge overseeing the case, which he suggested includes the ability to appear virtually.
